Thank you SO much for posting this 3 part doc. GTR has always been one of my favorite bands & I so wish the 2 Steve's & Jon, Max & Phil would reunite. What a celestial record, every song, divine & amazing..& this behind the scenes making of is incredible...especially the 2 Steve's playing acoustic solos...
@Satiaraha It's a Schecter Strat that has been modified with a Kahler tremolo and a Roland guitar synth interface. Not so easy to tell from the video.
it was a Schecter Strat As seen on the cover of 'Timelapse'. Heavily modded to incorporate a Kahler trem and controllers for the Roland GR-300 guitar synth.
Steve: "This was the main guitar used on the GTR sessions with Steve Howe and on tour in the mid 80s." (from Hackettsongs)
I'd be looking for this clip for ages. Of course, I was always searching for Hackett To Bits, instead of "The Making Of GTR". LOL Anyway, great to see it again. I remember MTV showing this program back when the album came out, and I taped it on Betamax! Unfortunately, my dad gave away our Betamax some time back, so I haven't been able to watch this or any of my other Beta videos for ages! :(
My two favourite guitarists, what a agood album it was, I have this footage on Betamax which I recorded from MTV back in 1986, but with the years the quality of the video and the sound deteriorates, thanks for posting it buttprobe, it's nice to watch it again, unfortunately, the band didn't last long, I read back then that two Steves had some differences ...
I had this on cassette when it came out years ago. Just ordered it again on CD from amazon. I had forgotten what a great album this was. Too bad they never made any more music.

Aww perhaps that`s a small chance. why not just download it from here (that`ll make three fragments) or search for boot trade from yes/genesis forums
