best gig of my life.. oasis last tour at heaton park manchester with support from twisted wheel, the enemy and kasabian, top gig!! and i almost never went!!
i was at this gig. I'd just turned 13. My Dad took me. It was my proper gig and I'll never forget it or this moment. Pulp were one of the supports. Reight good :)
Was there too!! Sat in seats , 3 of us managed to evade security to jump down to the standing area, 4th lad got caught and shot out!! This is the first time I have heard this since that night!
I was there and was sat in a box overlooking the stage - We wouldn't have ever heard this if Liam didn't have a tantrum and not come back on stage - we saw it all from where we were sat (stuart pearce and steve hodge were in next box btw) - liam threw a bottle or two round the back of the stage. Noel came back on on his own and it was great,
Was playing songs that were only written a few weeks beforehand planned ? I didn't say the set was unplanned did I ? I remember Noeln playing for a lot longer than the whole band did.
no it's just the way you said that liam stormed off and wouldn't come back. It's been a long time since I listened to my bootleg of this gig as it's at another adress for the last few years. But the acoustic set always happened, this was the first performance of don't look back in anger though. It was also Tony Maccarols last gig.
So strange to hear this. Turned out to be a legendary song, tho it was from the very fckin moment Noel wrote it! This is amazing, thanks a lot for upload!
Amazing memories, 1st gig I ever attended, performance blew may away especially Noels accoustic section, remember this being introduced at the time but now only years later realise it was Don't Look Back in Anger !!...also remember The Verve were supposed to support on this night only to be replaced by Pulp due to the drummer breaking his hand in Paris the week before....
It's funny how technology catches up and allows to you glimpes of the past. I went to this gig and remember him saying 'this is a new one...etc' but for the last 13 years I've thought it was Wonderwall, in fact it was Dont' look back. Made me smile hearing the intro to this again. Thanks a million.
I cant believe its 14 years to the day . This was the first time that i went to see oasis it seems like yesterday . It was brilliant then and even now . I can remember Noel saying that this was a new one and it turned out to be Dont Look Back in Anger it brings back alot of memories . I can remember Liam and Noel having a disagreement about the crash barrier as there was a gap so there wasnt a crowd surge or something just b4 they played Digsy Dinner i think .
cant hear a thing from the crowd. says it all, doesnt it

its funny hearing that
on a later version the last few "dont look back in angers" would
be getting sung back louder than the speakers
