  • Beautiful sound to it! I'm trying to decide if I want one of these or a 90's Camaro.... hmm....

  • I have had both 3rd, 4th gens and this car all at the same time & I would pick this caddy over those every time, its pure luxury. Watching the tach swing over to 6500rpms on the Northstar is still amazing to me!

  • @Irocz11389 Thanks! I totally went with the Caddy! :D btw, what percentage did you have your windows tinted?

  • I think 25% but the guy who owned it before me got them tinted so not real sure.

  • Does it lose oil?

  • Yep, but i heard the audi 4.2 quad cam v8 is way worse at burning oil. If some one says there northstar isnt burning oil, there full of shit. Sounds like a twin cam motor problem to me.

  • @Irocz11389 Could be. Mine loses oil too.

  • @Irocz11389 With the N* it was an issue with carbon building up on the 2nd piston ring. The ring and piston assembly was designed to flutter at high rpms, but of course not many people who bought N* equipped cars ever rev'd the motor like it was designed for, so all that built up carbon caused the oil control rings to not wipe down the bores, thus burning oil.

  • I did hear that also, so I can assure you that this N* was red lined a lot, it was very addictive to hold the go peddle down!

  • VOLKSWAGEN NEED TO "HIDE" FROM THIS ONE!!!!!!!

    VOLKSWAGEN-SUCK!

  • Garbage

  • I love Cadillacs, my favorite car is the Cadillac CTS!

  • Nice sound, check my vids out... My 95 has a limited too. So sad. I've had it to 8k in the highway at well over 200mph... So beast.

  • @cod4killaz 8000 rpm and 200 mph? thats definately not stock right?

  • anyone know where i can get a nice air intake for my seville (I do want a HP gain)

  • @BALROGG111 Look at my video if you want to hear it without the limiter. The '99 didn't have one.

  • that sounds good

  • @TrollingForYou: because it is a monster...... In an Armani suit.

  • Cant 4k limiter. i even hit the limiter a little at the end.

  • @Irocz11389 I find it hard to believe that there is a rev limiter at 4k when the engine on the dyno makes peak horsepower at 6000 rpm and peak torque 4400rpm. so your claimed 300hp isn't even close because you won't actually rev the thing out.

  • @hondarideralex umm most newer cars have a limiter in place in park

  • @Irocz11389 when the thing is in park it the computer wont let the car rev past 4000RPM so it doesnt do any damage to the engine moron. Its not good reving a engine at high RPMs with no load, and what i mean by having a load on the engine is driving it instead of siting and reving it.......

  • @Irocz11389 get a programmer, get rid of it. for about 350.00

  • @Irocz11389 sucks how cadillac did that.. pisses me off cause my dhs is the same way mines a 2000

  • @Irocz11389 it should hop past that limit if you rev it up and take it a couple thousand rpm at a time. like take 2-4 pumps and runs to get up to the redline

  • i have a 02 sls how do you replace the steering wheel with a wood grain one but keep the buttons?

  • i dont get it why make a nice quiet car sound like a monster?

  • damn man nice cadillac. what other mods u got? u got straight piping or x pipin? im gonna deck out an sts when i get the money ya know.

  • I am also a proud owner of a Cadillac Seville. Mine is a 2003 SLS. I am looking to install an exhaust system with a sound that is similar to or quieter than yours. I'm considering Corsa, Magnaflow, or Flowmaster. I'd like to know what size tips yours are and if you have any suggestions. What are the specs of your system?

  • The Seville is the best car I ever owned.

  • Cadillacs have 3 main issues: leaking valve cover gaskets, short life alternators and leaking 2 piece oil pan gaskets. Not to mention GM's crappy hubs. I would check to see if these were taken care of before you buy any Cadillac,

  • @1sledprincess my 2rd alternator in a years n was leakin too

  • I sounds good but it would sound way better if you ran Straight pipes

  • nfointer ya this sounds its great

  • whats the price range on the insurance?

cause theres' one that i have in mind

  • i saw a nice gray sts in a lot the mechanic said the Head gasket was blown, everyone says the headgasket blows on these cars, i have one and its a great car so far no major problems its expensive on gas but thats the price you pay for luxury, but now my check eng lght is on its probably the gas, i went to a full service and the guy gave me 89, i always get 94, the car ran fine but didnt sound or feel as good, im full of 94 with some octane booster now, Light is still on but runs great

  • Sounds great! How loud is it on the inside?

  • The reason these cars blow head gaskets is MOSTLY due to the moron that owns it, or the past owners. Nearly always, the head gasket leak is caused by the owner not changing the coolant, which eventually goes stale. Change green coolant every 2 years, or red coolant every 5.

  • Yeah ok...when a mechanic hears the word Northstar the first thing they think of is head gasket

  • did you get the touring or sport mufflers?

  • nice car man.

  • its very nice

  • Sounds purrrdy!

I like how you let the car warm up a bit before you started revving it!

Most idiots give it hell at the turn of the key, then a few months later are bitching about head gaskets and and rod knock due to coolant in the oil.

  • because the 95-96 seville sts had the 300hp northstar V8 along with being a lighter car than the 98-04 sevilles

  • 2000-2004 sts have 300hp as well, the dhs devile's have 275hp the dts has 300hp as well

  • yea actually starting in the year 95-03 for seville sts=300hp because 04 had just one model the sls 03 was last year for sts model reason behind no sts model for 04 was to get everyone anticipated for the arrival of the 05 sts

  • front wheel drive :(((((

  • yo what percent tint is that all around????

  • Don't waist your money on these expensive mufflers, when you can get flowtech afterburners, throw on some high temp paint, and save yourself a hundred bucks, and sounds deeper than this.

  • That savings won't give you the 21.7 HP increase as shown on the Dyno from CORSA for this Seville.

  • Sounds sweet man. To bad the guy i know who has one is a complete asshole and always calls my car a piece of redneck shit. I hope all sts owners aren't like this because i'm definently looking into buying one for a daily driver when i go to college.

  • i have a 97 sts and that's the identical exhaust sound i want! whats the name of those mufflers, and how much was it with labor?

    Thanks

  • Its a Corsa Cat back system. I think it was around $900, not to sure because it was on the car when i got it.

  • I am almost positive they do not make them for a 97. 99-2003 for the Seville STS's. I just got one it was $1090

  • damn dats a nice ride..im looking to buy a 2000 model dis summer for around 4500.are dey reliable and expensive to maintain?

    i just love dese cars

  • I haven't had a problem with mine and it has 122k on it.

  • @guku0701 Boy I wonder if your ghetto. Talk normal dammit.

  • @voyfan99 Boy I wonder if you're educated, please use proper grammar dammit.

  • @guku0701 got 200k on my 2001 and it still redlines and its fine, all stock too.

  • @guku0701 They can be very expensive to maintain, but its worth it in my opinion. Head gaskets are a major concern after 100k, as are electronic struts and wheel bearings.

  • i would say that's very wrong. My car is perfect because the 2 owners before me took great care of the car. They used fully synthetic oil from day one, kept it in the garage, and had it serviced regularly. The oil problem you are hearing about is with 98-00, the rear main seal was a bad design and so they leaked oil. That's why i made sure i got a 01 or newer. I don't think there's a nicer luxury car for under $10,000. I Payed $8,000 and it had 115K on it.

  • Yes, I have a 99 STS and have read that 2001+ used a different method of casting the engine that made it less porous.

I have 80,000 miles on it and have just replaced the spark plugs and wires. The only serious maintenance I have done is to replace the alternator which in my model was liquid cooled (ie: expensive for no reason).

  • What's with the baby revs? I take my STS up to 5500 RPM and she gives a nice roar.

  • I cant it has a 4K rev limiter on it. Wish i could.

  • Where did you get the exhaust? How much? Did you do the install? Sounds GREAT!

  • It was on the car when i got it. The guy i bought it from said $900. Its just a CAT back system, looks easy to put on.

  • is that tha stock northstar 4.6?

  • Ya everything but the exhaust and K&N Air filter

  • nice ford gt there man

  • It sounds like a race car

  • HID and xenon lights are the same thing as they use an arc in a xenon gas matrix to generate the light.

There are a lot of riceboy HID-lookalike halogens that claim to be charged with xenon, but the blue color from those lights come from the glass coloring and not the actual light.

The light cast out of a HID is not blue, but white with a slight bluish accent when fully warmed up; a HID is supposed to cast a light that's closer to late morning-noon sunlight in terms of temperature in kelvins.

  • Which rims are those, if you don't mind? What happened to the 0-100 video?

  • Never mind. Hollander 4539 (98-04 STS factory rims), 16"x7". They look nice on your STS.

  • really nice car

  • Thanks! def my favorite car i have.

  • hid's and xenon's are the same thing, i know someone that has an 08 mustang that has the hid option, which gives off a blue light, and it's not the conversion kit

  • The HID option of your friend's Mustang probably causes the light reflector or projector assembly itself to illuminate with a noticeable blue hue, but the actual light cast out in front of the car is likely a very brilliant white with a bluish accent.

That's also another way to distinguish between a real HID and a rice HID lookalike. Illegal bulbs that try to look like HID cast out a dangerously weak blue light, though I've also seen pinkish-violet and even green light!

  • I have the same car...just not the exhaust..i want it though..

  • just curious, but, does that year of seville come with hid headlights? the headlights that give off blue light instead of the regular yellowish

  • Ya it does, i think it was standard in 2001 on STS and SLS

  • not in my 2002 seville sls I got the hid kit though. Set me back 600$ but well worth it. also the stock lenses glaze over and look like crap.
