It's one of the cutest baby animals I think I have ever seen! However, at my house we have major issues with squirrels getting overpopulated and our squirrels sit in the trees and make squawking noises at the dogs... Rather funny, actually.

Actually, squirrels are safer than domestic dogs in most cases. They don't generally get parasites, they are fairly solitary, and they aren't often injured by rabid animals. They are a pretty low risk for diseases.
