Che’s radicalism was spawned from living in Guatemala during the 1953 overthrow of Jacobo Arbenz by the CIA at the behest of the United Fruit Company (those lovely capitalists who liked to kill brown Central Americans so Americans could have cheap bananas).
Che saw the brutality of U$ Imperialism up close, and gave his life in Bolivia to defeat it. Che fought 3 U.S.-backed dictators during his life (Batista, Mobutu, Barrientos).

Yes, he did kill people. So did Madison, Polk, Lincoln, McKinley, Wilson, F. Roosevelt, Truman, Lyndon Johnson. G. H. W. Bush , George W. Bush and Obama.
In my opinion Che Guevara wasn´t "monster" how say our medias. But still he also wasn´t "saint" how say Cuban medias. He had maybe saint ideas, but his executions of 200-300 people it was brutal.I think without that killing he should be saint, but he did it,so define Che as "saint" it is false.Ernesto wasn´t "bad" man - he had nice ideas, but because of killing people you just can´t say that was "saint".

CHE's LAST WORDS to his children in a farewell letter:
"Above all, always be capable of feeling most deeply any injustice committed against anyone in the world. That is the most beautiful quality in a revolutionary."
Believe me, you don't want his type of revolution. Hunger, misery, and human rights violations. Pretty much the same things he was supposed to be fighting against.
People make the mistake to compare Che with Fidel and Chavez. At least and in difference to most others he never asked for things to which he did not live up by himself. Compare for instance Bush Sr. and Rumsfeld who painted Husseins ass with gold sponsoring his terror with billions in the 80s and 90s, while giving a holy shit on his chemical weapons used against the Kurds in the 90s and later pretended to fight him for the good when it was about oil only.
the greatest enemy of america ever. he filled the american hearts with doubt in their war against the communists, and that was more that every terrorist reached.
Because he left his career in medicine and high middle class status in Argentina in order to help the poor and the sick in Latin America. Later on, he went to Cuba and was the man behind a revolution that looked to replace a government that had an extremely high poverty index and a 67 % illiteracy rate. Once he triumphed he left his position of power in Cuba and risked his life so that peasants in Latin America and Africa could go to school and have hospitals... In my book that's a hero
"We speak out to put the world on guard against what is happening in South Africa. The brutal policy of apartheid is applied before the eyes of the nations of the world. The peoples of Africa are compelled to endure the fact that on the African continent the superiority of one race over another remains official policy, and that in the name of this racial superiority murder is committed with impunity. Can the United Nations do nothing to stop this?" --- CHE GUEVARA, 1964
this movie is filled with subtle propaganda against Che, the overemphasis on "executions", the dramatic (and negative music) when he says the famous line "Patria o Muerte", which is one of the most inspirational and positive things he said, even that they twist around into something negative.. the power of the capitalist media is really good.
I understand what you mean, however I dissagree. I dont think that the film necessarally portrays him negatively. I thought it was well rounded. I watched both films and I thought it was good.
I wish they did the Congo part of Che's life into a movie as well. Del Toro and Soderbergh really hit a nerve with their collaboration.

Che’s “CRIMES” were:
~ Stopping American companies from owning 70 % of the arable land in Cuba
~ Teaching peasants to read, by bringing the Cuban literacy rate from 60 to 97 %
~ Having the 200 or so War Criminals who killed 20,000 Cubans for Batista shot against a wall
~ Fighting white mercenaries in the African Congo with an all black army
~ Speaking out against US and eventually USSR Imperialism while demanding that the poor of the world be allowed to live a life of dignity

"Che’s life is an inspiration for every human being who loves freedom, we will always honor his memory." — Nelson Mandela
"Che is not only an intellectual, he was the most complete human being of our time, our eras most perfect man." — Jean Paul Sartre
CHE:
- Worked in a Leper colony and treated lepers (as seen in the excellent film ‘The Motorcycle Diaries’)
- Removed the Mafia and dictatorship of Batista from Cuba which had killed 20,000 Cubans and tortured thousands more
