Actually, it's quite easy to clean. All you need is a shower and a cotton bud or two. And I wore an earlier model for about 3 months and nothing bad happened to my willy. Not something to worry about.

I think that the years range is maybe a bit much. Probably need adjustment from time to time anyway. It certainly didn't have any effect on me in the months range (not being immodest, bt I ain't teeny, so it'd be noticable), so it's probably the sheer length of time. The Curve is made by the same company as the CB series.
