I played it 2 months from release... and one month few weeks before this day the subscription ended...

(WoW gfx are shite to me but they breathe a nice fantasy atmosphere who many like) u should try this game out! Ive spended more money on drunken nights of wich i cant remember anymore then to lose 50 € in wich case ive played a game for an entire month! Darkfall isn't pretty, and the interface is absolute garbage, but sadly if MO releases in its current state, its not going to get the chance to even compete. At least Darkfall is actually playable.

No game releases. Darkfall was nigh unplayable. WoW was shitty. EVE was a failure, SWG was a disaster, AoC is still felt today.

Its part of the MMO, you can't really judge a game properly until about 3 months after release.

I understand, but at least all those games released with what would be considered basic gameplay in a functional state. At the moment MO consists of running around naked, painfully trying to interact with anything due to the UI, wonky combat and an unimplemented spell system, and 1 model of house with two stages of construction. Having bugs and not getting everything planned is just how MMOs end up, I know this, but MMO can barely be called a game at this point in development.

Darkfall is a great game. The only reason people say magic is so OP or good is because well, us magic users know how to use our magic. You get a good archer or meleer to get in range and the magic user is done. You of course can't just run in with a polearm and expect to win against someone using ranged, it all takes skill and it all has a different play style. With the new expansion there's supposed to be even more customization with archery and melee. Darkfall is a great game.

An arrow can concievably hit a maximum of 100 on a back hit on a single target, perfectly aimed. A mage can then cycle other rank 100 spells, an archer or melee cannot. A mage can then simply switch to melee to finish a meleer, there's nothing stopping him having both schools of combat.

Darkfall is paid beta. Remember taht. I suggestion to give it a try when all the balance problem will be fixed. Currently, they are trying to nerf magic a lot so melee and range can be themself, a real play style. Speciallisation will be introduced so you wont need to use any offensive magic to compete.
