@microwavemaster448 Burn a candle with the cover closed.This will burn up the oxygen and create a vaccum.

thats more of a humphry davy or warren de la rue experiment on a budget!

To be an Edison one you would need a high resistance carbonised bamboo filament and the jar would to be a vacuum.

IF filament cannot be burn because of oxygen, then x must eliminate the oxygen in the bulb, therefore the filament can now be burn :) ....... Thomas Edison was very lucky .

use alligator clips from radioshck, picture hanging eire and the battery from Walmart, and a jar from the container store or ikea or walmart
