@makomoshuu remember that hadits are from arabic language & some words or sentence in arabic language has "simbolic" meaning, u'll need to learn hadits & the language from the scholar {Ulama} ^_^
@cowgirlwithoutacow sesuatu yg diharamkan ada batasan dan alasannya, jika musik yg dimaksud adalah musik modern dimana liriknya jorok, penyanyinya mengumbar aurat, yg nonton campur laki & perempuan, serta tujuannya hanyalah kesenangan itu baru haram, berbeda dgn Nasyid, ada lho riwayat bahkan Nabi Daud As menggunakan alat musik saat berdzikir kpd Allah, demikian Wali Allah {Sunan Walisongo} segala sesuatu itu dinilai dari niat serta proses menjalankan niat itu ^_^

it says in a hadith that music is the mizmar (trumpet/instrument) of the devil/shaitan, but this is a nashid.

ma shallah this is a very beautiful nashid. but it has music in it, and unfortunately listening to music is haram/forbbidden.
