I always wondered if these lyrics were a reference to Dave's "relationship" with drugs rather than a person. I remember seeing an interview where Dave stated that he had to "lose himself in heroin" to find out who he really was. And not long after, this song was released. Either way, it's a great song. Not one of my favourite DM videos, but stunning nonetheless!
