I believe this anime is much more heart-felt and beautiful in Japanese; the English dubbing actors don't seem to be near as passionate ... Especially Cossette; she sounds like shes smiling in the english dub...but in the Japanese, she always sounds so sad... and her name isn't Co-set. It's Co-sett-ah. Much more beautiful.

These visions start to haunt him and starts taking over his life. Telling you the rest of the story could spoil it but that's the basic idea.

It's not so much horror, I think it's more gothic lolita.

It has an unusual animatios style and chaotic storytelling, like SEL.

It has tons of violence, like Elfen Lied times 10. And it's magical violence.

Oh, and it's a twisted love story.

I know I like it, and I love SEL and found Elfen Lied to be great, too.

Indeed, "bad"? In art anything is allowed, and you should really put such notions aside to be able to appreciate any art form to avoid being offended and thus spoiling the experience. It is a very dark anime, mind you that, I suppose some people might find it disturbing, that aside, highly watchable.

@MorroccoSurrogate its not too gory. We watch war movies in history class that are a lot worse. Rated R movies are for 17+, and that's the age of a senior/junior student

@RainbowYaoiFairy Actually, I believe R movies are for 18+...? And also, many schools do not allow for the showing of R movies in class without consent of the parents no matter what the age of the student or at least that's the rules of the county I live in, and the counties around me.

@RainbowYaoiFairy It's also a liability issue. If a student gets sick in class from a movie shown that could get the school in trouble. Also, besides the gore, some of the gothic imagery (i.e. the scene where the cross explodes with blood) in this series could be offensive to students and if they tell thier parents, it could lead to a sticky situation for the school.
