  • @246lilymaya, THANKS!! for the update. I've done a smidgeon of poking around without success. Your info adds a profound serenity. I've seen Leahy live more than once and the quiet of the audience during this song can felt.......

    @246lilymaya Thank-you for posting

    They amaze me how they can make 2 fiddles sound as one.....

  • This tune was written by DENIS LANCTOT from Ottawa in memory of his sister in law Tara Touesnard from Nova Scotia who died in a car accident. This is the most

    beautiful piece of music written by Denis. You vill find this piece of music on his album For The Love of Tara .

  • My sister and I LOVE this song. Weve tried it a few times on the violin.

  • I've fallen in love with this song. I normally don't listen to just instruments play, but today in music class, my teacher made us watch the concert DVD of Leahy & it was so beautiful. RIP Tara :') breathtaking -3

  • Leahy is truly amazing. I love this song, it's so great for those times when you just need to sit peacefully and think, take a break from the cares of the world.

  • after hearing that song, i let out a contented sigh. I hope if i get married someday, that i'd slow dance with my betrothed to this song. :-)

  • Oh man, I miss you guys... Angus used to practice in the halls and dressing rooms at the shows I was at a long time ago. Would be sitting there thinking, 'Where is that coming from' and then go search for the sound, and he would be off hammering out drills. Such a great kid. I love these guys (and gals!!)... Lardevlin, I agree! But I think them that know them, already believe they are!

  • Heard this song played at one of their concerts... it was awesome :)

  • All soo talented and nice, lovely people.

  • They should be a national treasure

  • Beautiful melancholy

  • Beautifully played.

    Are Doug and Angus brothers of Donnell?

  • They are, all of them are brothers and sisters, one big happy family.

  • Yes they are! There are 11 Leahy siblings...all of whom take time on and off to tour with the family band.

    Much talent in this family!
