Her hair WAS brown back then.
They've made some design changes over the last 20 years. They reversed Mario's costume colors from red-on-blue to blue-on-red, changed the Princess's hair color from brown to blond (and her given name from Toadstool to Peach).

Wiggy wiggy!Damn,I got the First two volumes of the show and it fucking rocks!!The only problem I have is that they edited out the oldies songs.I loved those parts.... = ( But the rest is all good!= )
