  • i have a question. i know that this will work cuz ive tried it but wat if im workin out in the gym and im lifting weights. will lifting weights make me lose my flabby or just add muscle to it but still have the flabb. lol i dont know if i should be lifting weights cuz i have big arms i think im only making them bigger.     8 reps (reps is short for repetitions)... do the movement 8 times (up/ down)

  • Dear " inshape4u" I've been out of shape for many years now. I simply hate my arms, they actually look like two " ham shanks" they are ugly ! I have gained a lot of weight that has streched my skin out of shape, I heard an example once that liken this to a balloon that had air in it for a time, and when the air was released the balloon was never gonna regain it's shape again. Is this true ? ,I don't want any surgery to fix this problem.

  • you cant spot reduce, it dont get rid of flabby arms, it might build up the muscle but if you dont lose the fat over the muscles it will just look like a fatter arm, same thing with situps and everything else... you can not lose fat from a specific area by just exercising that area, scientific fact

  • @imanifaith14 If you are a girlt that i'm assuming, then you don't need to worry about getting bulky arms working out. It's male hormones, that make muscle tissue grow. But you can get more leaner...

  • This works!!! Within a week, my arms were harder and more toned.

    Personally, I did this exercise every day for a good 10 minutes.

  • this exercise you can do everyday, as long as you aren't sore. if you are sore, skip a day, then go back to it. soreness is your body's way of saying you worked your muscles, resting helps keep you from injuring yourself, you don't want to work your muscles too hard without time to recover.

    as far as doing these at a specific time, i would say doing them anytime you prefer, but for me i find the morning time best, as it gives me a bit of an energy boost before my shower.

  • by the way, i am not the poster of this video (duh) nor am i a fitness instructor or health care professional. i am just stating my opinion, and experience.

    (in my experience, also, doing anything that makes your heart beat faster is better to do during the day, and not before bed, because your body releases chemicals that keep you awake after doing strenous exercises (like cardio workouts) this one, though, doesn't quite increase my heartrate, but i still like to do it in the morning.)

  • We do many of these exercises in gym class, especially this one, and I'm really good exercises like push ups and these, but I'm really bad at chin up's, I barely do two chin ups on my own.

    Aren't push ups and chin up's releated? And what kind of exercises would help?

    P.S.I Don't have anywhere in my home, or outside, where I could actually practise a chin up.

  • When you burn fat, you gain muscle at the same time. It doesn't work like that. If you wanna get rid of fat but not to gain muscle, go to liposuction or stop whining. LOL!!

  • doing this yes but the main thing is....

    DIET & EXERCISE = NO FLabyy arms

  • You'll most likely only gain a lot of muscle if you are taking a good amount of whey protein with your diet but otherwise you should not see buff results unless you really focus on this exercise. In any case you can do this, notice some toning in your arms, reach desired weight and then when you stop exercising the muscle will tone back down. Weight resistance training is also very good for slimming down w/o building up.

  • women do not have as much testosterone as men, so they do not develop muscles in the same way that men do

    Women never get too buff unless they are pro athletes or on steroids, and they have to train for hours at a time
