Father, grandfather, Creator God, Great and Holy Spirit, I am well thank you and I love you.

The native language in this post is in Cherokee. God bless and keep our Lakota brothers and sisters. As you say so well, Mitakuye Oyasin. Ho!

  • Indians understand god is in every living thing avatar style... its not a cristian cult god of the dark ages

  • @styxtap I agree how can the church call these kind people pagans and other bad thing when you can see clearly the flow of the Holy Spirit in them and the peace and love indians understood truly God in his esence the way it was meant to be the way God want us so see/feel him

  • INDIANS ARE GOD HOMEY! NOW YOU KNOW WHO TO PROTECT. GUARDIANS OF THE INDIGENOUS!!!

  • do native indians believe in god

  • Rejoice dear hearts. The Great Spirit has not forgotten any of His people, and He is coming home to roost. Amen. ~ The Bobster.

  • @hogoinkspot is that a joke?

  • NOW HERE IS ONE I KNOW BY HEART...I REMEMBER WHEN MY MOM SANG THIS TO ME....

  • A girlfriend sent this to me right after my double mastectomy for breast cancer. It has been two weeks now since the surgery. When the music started to play my whole body started to tingle, especially the surgery areas. I really do believe this works. Even better, I am cancer Free now, so I know that somebody has been looking out for me!

  • Honestly, every time I listen to this I get the chills and a good feeling surrounding me.

  • I wish you'd give us the whole lyrics.

  • @eilirudy They are in the description

  • @TheLonelyBearCub Yes I saw that but it's clearly not the whole lyrics.

  • I love you Little Thunder, Horse Dancer, Eagle Dancer, Sounds Good, Roaring Thunder, Morning Star, Cho Kin, Baby Bear, Four Standing, Red Center Pole, Little Red Flower. Always Little White Wolf / Crying Eagle

My baby girl Little Thunder, daddy misses you. someday my baby. daddy will be walking with you. until then daddy will continue to walk the good road.

  • trés trés beau merci qui chante cette merveilleuse chanson

  • Cherokee pride forever

  • So that the people may live. @ CTMarie There are many ways for you to learn and connect to your traditions. Turtle Lung Woman's Granddaughter is a good book to read. It is written by Delphine Red Shirt. The people that have gone before you have left many things for you. Do not think they have forgotten you.

I hope you do no t mind me saying. I have visited the Lakotah and know that traditions are slowly living :)

  • Everyone should be proud of our ancestors!

  • charakee and pagan pride

  • I wish if knew more about my tradition :/ the traditions of the lakota are slowly dying

  • Thank you. I adore this piece :-) Could you tell me the name of the artist/painting at

2:43...the crow/raven shaman. I would sincerely appreciate it. Peace and be well.

  • Does the context change the meaning of each repeated line, like it is in Ho Chunk?

  • the Lakota,what a great people

  • Wado

  • This is a beautiful song, and yes my soul weeps as it hears it.

  • yes guys do cry inside, physical pain etc. can't overwhelm men, but there are surely things that can... we all have soul and crying is part of soul.. sometime instead of cretin we howl.. but basically it is same thing.."just my subjective opinion."

  • I am an Asian but fall in love with all Native American songs, especially this one. Thanks for uploading this!

  • Just beautiful...

  • Great Spirit - ask that you find your way into my brothers & sister, who suffer from visible and invisible wounds. Restore them to the perfection - that they truly are ~ Aho

  • thank you

  • this is really beautiful... if i was a girl i would have cried.

  • @aydishka1 you do realize that guys can cry too, right? Not attacking, asking seriously

  • this song is so beautiful and the culter i am part cherokee but this song is still so beautiful

  • This is beautiful. My friend is a Lakota Sioux lady and she has introduced me to many of her wonderful peoples songs and ways.I love all native American Indian ideals.

  • This is Robbie Robertson!

  • Robby, you're confusing the Lakota word wichoni (healing, salvation) with the Navajo word nizhoni (beauty). This is a Lakota language song in the Native American Church, and one of the best known. The singers, Verdell Primeaux and Johnny Mike, are among the best at this style of blended harmony.

  • Though no credits on performers for this YouTube, fairly sure it's Verdel Primeaux & Johnny Mike. Gorgeous harmonies.

BTW, this vid, here, from about 1:02 on, turns (mostly) into one of my favourite Native American songs -- "Walk in Beauty" (not a peyote song?).

Cannot find this ("Walk...") song on the Web, otherwise. Think it may not exist there. It's on a Sierra Club "fundraiser" tape. We use it in our yoga class, sometimes.

  • i love this song - heard it on a robbie robertson cd years ago - THANKS! nice way to end the day

  • i love it

im powhatan but i love it

  • hey you put this out on my bday I like it thankyou for the lyrics to...made me cry

  • May your soul live free and your heart be filled with love. )O(
