I'm sure when you put on the new pipe and expansion chamber and all the other little go-fast parts made by Briggs and Stratton, you ignored the fact that the brakes are still 30 year old tiny drum brakes, the tires are an inch wide, and the frame is more flexible than a Kawasaki H2.

And a frame brace doesn't change the frame geometry, the skinny-ass tires, or the wee drum brakes.

That frame brace is on there to keep the frame from flexing and mopeds are desinged to go faster then 25mph.
