I agree that He was created like that for a reason. He was not to be desired. I dont think He was someone people would cringe as the sight of Him, just a very plain man. Not one as you say with blond hair etc...What makes Jesus (Yeshua in Hebrew) beautiful is the God in Him. There was something about Him that drew people to Him-not outward appearances, but the divine nature of Him. This actor to me is not handsome, so he is playing a good role for just an average looking man. This is my opinion.

I've always felt that people do not need to worry about the actual physical appearance of Christ in art (paintings, video) if they can simply get the eyes right. Jim Caviezel in the Passion of the Christ had this, and the man they chose for this video has it as well. A depth that looks into the soul and pulls out the pain and suffering, drawing it into himself. A beautiful video, this.

If it weren't for the grace and mercy of my Savior, I would not be here typing this response. I owe Him my life and am grateful for His sacrifice and Resurrection for me to have the way to eternity. He entered finite history and took on the form of a man so that we would have access to an infinite God and His heart of love. May those who watch with an open mind and spirit come to know Jesus as their Savior too. That is my prayer.

If all you get from watching this video is "Jesus was a great person" or Jesus' physical attributes, then you have missed the point of the video.

Jesus is the Son of God, and came in his glory to find out our "story." He is here to heal and to love and to accept and to forgive us.....he gave all that he had, his very life to be used as a ransom to forgive us in our earthly state-filthy and stained with sins.And had it not been that his life was used and sacrificed in the perfectly planned way that it was by God our Creator, not a single one of us would return back into the presence of the Father or the Son after we die. Thank you Jesus.

Somewhat surprised that most of the comments are about how Jesus looked.......I doubt we'll ever know for sure (at least in this lifetime) so how about we just enjoy the song and video,please?

It is just a depiction of what Jesus looked like.....That man in the video is very handsome...but even better yet...what he stood for.........makes him so much more....beautiful inside and out...what goodness means...and IS and always will BE...My Jesus...

Jesus was not noteable as far as looks go, so I am glad he does not have pretty blond hair and that he looks somewhat ethnic, as do the rest of the people in the video. It gets tiresome seeing Him portrayed as a handsome man or even anglo-saxon. He looked like everyone else did in that region.

@spring1991 Actually the best looking man that ever lived was Absalom in the Bible which was the son of David. Buuuut he turned out to be a concieted person... and the most gorgeous girl was Sarah the wife of Abraham that stopped an army even in her old age!
