This song is sung in Breton which is a Celtic Language spoken in Brittany. Breton is a Brythonic language of great and ancient descent, originating from the Celtic British Language brought from Great Britain by migrating Britons during the Early Middle Ages. Brittany a province of France in modern times is located in the north-west of France occupying a large peninsula lying between the English Channel to the north and the Bay of Biscay to the south. Brittany is one of the six Celtic Nations.
The Lyrics are in Breton, Celtic language from the western Part of France. The Breton is 1500 years old. When I was young 1million people were still speaking our language, now barely 300000 people are still speaking it. The french republic refused to recognized the Breton as a regional language and got it banned from the European charter. Our language is dying, our culture will be next...
Hans Zimmer has made lots of good music. But NOT THIS ONE! The composer (and actual singer) is Denez Prigent, a young and talented Breton singer. The song was composed long before Ridley Scott made his movie "Black Hawk Down". The music was added afterwhile. Sorry for Zimmer!
@Elitepoosniff This song is about *love*, somebody who waits for his/her love (i am waiting here for a long time, etc.) Although used by Ridley Scott in his movie "Black Hawk Down", the song is in Breton, composed by the singer (Denez Prigent) not by Zimmer.
hey...that song is going very deep under my skin...everytime the female voice sets in my body starts to push a cold stream from the top to the bottom...it gave the Movie Black Hawk Down a very sad ending in connection with the scene where that guy talked to his dead friend

@catcall443 nope, hans zimmer is originally from austria, but his bloodline goes back to celts (slovenians)
By the way this song has nothing to do with zimmer, he just asked for to be in the movie ...

@M3D1AC
Apparently, Ridley Scott asked for it to be on the Black Hawk Down soundtrack.
