With the cleaning products I use you could spray on and with any sort of rubbing you can remove pen marks.
No need for the ultra sonic machine!

YOU HAVE MISSED THE POINT!
Ultrasonic cleaners DO NOT RUB the fabric. When you clean the mark as you have suggested, you remove the mark, but are left with a bald patch due to the rubbing. Ultrasonic cleaners agitate the solution that pushed the dirt away. Why don't you try one and see?

the point is you tune it to the frequency of the substance u want to remove. not all microwaves boil water, commercial ones are just tuned to the frequency of water. u reduce the ink to a low viscosity point with sound and it boils out like sugar in a towel in boiling water.
