@AceHalford Well, they are not. There are 3 DOOM continuities - The original one (DOOM, DOOM II, FINAL DOOM), DOOM 3 continuity (DOOM 3, Resurrection of Evil, DOOM Resurrection) and DOOM RPG continuity.

But yeah, BJ and Doomguy do look similar.

There's one thing that bugs me: BJ Blazkowicz is said to be the granddad of Commander Keen. Then who is Commander Keen to Doomguy?

maybe rpg is a spin off but the original doomguy is stan, or maybe this is after the first invasion on mars in the first doom, but lets remember tnt and plutonia so, this makes me think that doom rpg takes place after doom 2 or after tnt.. maybe id software will confirm this in doom 4.but i like to think thet the doomguy is a blazcowicz

OMG just look at him. He ripped of his hand and leg (as you can see at the end) and Cyberdaemon from Doom has robotic leg and rocket luncher in arm - so he came back in future as Cyberdaemon :-D

@ttisawolf You have to stand in it to stop him healing himself. Very occassionally he knocks you out of it, but 9 times out 10 you can stay there.

Your encounter with the cyberdemon in Doom was the fulfillment of the Harbinger's prophecy. Too bad you make him your beotch once again.

@HunterTiger2100 - Doom DID come out after Wolfenstein. Both in real time AND in the timelines of each game. Wolfenstein 3D and Wolfenstein RPG take place in 1945 and Doom takes place in 2145. That's exactly 200 years (or roughly 5 generations) apart. When you beat the Harbinger of Doom in Wolfenstein RPG, he loses his arm and his leg (setting the stage for his "prosthetic" limbs), and he swears that "your blood will pay" as he is being drug into the pit which is obviously Hell. Wow it really reminds me of a Konami arcade game cinematic circa 1991, even the music! I'm glad someone at id is realising that their franchises have a devout following, and that all these in-jokes and references are not wasted. It seems they were too keen to rewrite history with Doom 3, I have Doom 4 is the real Doom 3. Well, Doom 2 I suppose what with that basically being an add-on pack!
