  • To diagnose this problem you need an oscilloscope.

The last thing going bad here is the panel. You have to check the power supply for noise level.

If the output voltage and noise levels are in the tolerance range you have a bad PCB board on the panel (the long one stacked to the top of the panel with the 30pin connector) - this cannot be replaced by you because the connections are precision bonded, so the only solution you have is to replace the panel/board combo.

  • That's a shame, I have the W2242T too, it's about 1 month older than yours. It could be a problem with the decoding circuitry inside the flat panel itself, so it might be a write off. I was hoping mine would only need a new backlight after ~5 years, I hope the circuits don't go bad like in yours. I use it heavily, but put my PC to sleep whenever I'm away, so it probably does 8 hrs per day, but it does that EVERY day.

  • @swerder123 No...Korea dun suck, YOU suck...troller.

  • @geraldlkc noo korea sok beeg taim! deek deek sooking deek!!

  • I have the exact same model with the exact same problem. I have a feeling that it is the LCD Pannel board myself as the code looks the same but mine has a slight burn mark on the barcode stuck to it. I dont get any noise.

  • @icepipe2 must be the silicone I/C chip and I cannot presumed it. Thanks for the tip. I will search around any 2nd hand store for any to bring this fella back to life.

  • Ok I have a question, my PC and monitor when I boot up my computer it goes to the starting windows screen but then it goes to a black screen if i unplug and plug back in the VGA cable it shows that ive logged in, please anyone can you tell me what might be wrong? Thanks to anyone who might help.

  • @XxBaTtLeToThEdEaThxX Yours is software related (hardware not so possible):

    1.Uninstall ur current graphic drivers

2.Reboot PC into Safe Mode by holding F8

3.Still in Safe Mode, open Driver Sweeper or CC Cleaner (if you have either one) to get rid of the 'residue'

4.Reboot PC into Normal mode and install the Graphic Drivers, and Reboot it again to see results.

5.Scan PC for any possible infected Malware, Adware or Viruses that may cause any unwanted Startup programs.

    Hope this helps.

  • @XxBaTtLeToThEdEaThxX Apology for the late reply. I had forgotten to mention also to replace the VGA or DVI cable. Hope this helps.

  • @geraldlkc Thank you very much. I appreciate it. Its no problem about the late reply by the way.

  • I think that this is panel failure dude. Maybe it's the panel that needs to be replaced. What's your status?

  • @ObsessedGeorge I don't think so. It's something to do with circuitary component failure. The problem was intermittent and most likely on the Relay, Regulators or Capacitors.

Anyway, I had taken down all the specifications on all the components for purchase and will replace them one by one. Once done, I will update its status, here.

  • @geraldlkc Oh, it is intermittent? Question: Is the relay the ribbon in 3:35? Is that what you are reffering to as relay? The ribbon?

  • i have the same problem like this but my monitor is not LG is iiyama

  • @MegaRami92 Care to post a video response, please?

  • @geraldlkc why you have solution or someting?

  • @MegaRami92 Thought IF your problem is exactly the same as mine, then I assumed that it would be TFT panel to be defective. But then again maybe not, it could be the circuitary component(s) as mine is intermittent if I dismantle and press them down, and turn back on again...still the results be the same.

Oh well, if i do have the time and pull myself away from gaming, i will try to rectify asap.
