  • great vids

  • Which model bike are you using in this video?

  • do they ask u any questions befor u start the module 1 or 2??

like about ur bike and carrying a pillion?

  • Don't look at the cones on the figure of eight for pity's sake. Look at the fencing. As you said the bike will follow you around, if you look at the cones you'll cut in towards them, making it tighter and messing up the flow of the circles.

  • good video and good advice on each part thanks, i have mine tuesday 12th oct, fingers crossed

  • thas a fail straight away u-turn no life saver tut tut!

  • How far are the cones appart for the figure eight? - I'd like to do some private practice in a parking lot :)

  • I rode my first bike on the road on my 16th birthday without any of this silly nonesense. Wrap you up in cottonwool bullshit.

  • I have got my Module 1 on 5th August! Damn I hope it goes as easy as that!!

  • you dont have to reverse the bike around in the parking bays.

you can reverse it back away from the bay push it forward and around to the next bay then reverse it in.

its much easier and perfectly acceptable I know because thats what I did this morning on my test and I passed :-)

  • Side stand is fine. Dont worry about the main stand. If you are doing a test on a 125 its more difficult when it comes to getting up to speed. 2nd gear all the way. You are gonna have to give it a good fist full of throttle my mate.

  • can anyone enlighten me on whether you need to put the bike on the main stand or the side stand? On my bike the main stands peg has snapped off and is difficult to manouver onto the stand. reply please :)

  • @cdmaan whatever stand u wish id think. id use foot stand cause its easier but with my ybr the center stand is just as easy.

  • @cdmaan whatever stand u like id reckon as long as u do your checks

  • sooo is the course here the real deal? im not confident about the speed trap thing. i mean my ybr isnt the fastest bike on accelaration

  • hey an elevated view of the whole test would of been good. get some ladder and a camera lol

  • Tips fir fugure of 8 are easy. Look at the cones, keep the revs up and not too slow. Your instructor should be telling you that.

50kph is the minimum speed. There is not a max speed. Anything above ok. However, too fast and you wont make the swerve.

  • when you say 50k is the minimum speed, is there a maximum, or do you have to ride at precisely 50k ?

  • i do not feel very confident with the figure of 8's. any tips?

  • @cdmaan i got some cones at amazon for 5 quid. space them 4.5m apart and practice. its really easy if i got the spacing correct. im using a 2010 ybr 125cc

  • thankyou for putting this up man. its really kind of you to look out for us learners.

  • got my mod 1 and 2 tomorrow, pretty nervous, these videos are really helpful though hopefully ill pull it off ok :)

  • It was cancelled , we had a heavy frost, been put back a couple of weeks, think this girls got the swerve test sussed lol

  • Yea my students got cancelled today too. Lets hope ya get a new date soon :-)

  • 18th of Feb , think everyones trying to pass their test before it changes again in April haha, dunno what I'm laughing at I've not passed yet :-)

  • I sit my module 1 tomorrow again , this will be the third time, the swerve test is a bit of a pisser, hope i pass this time , liked the vid

  • Well good luck with it. I have 3 students also doing mod 1 tomorrow but its meant to snow!!!

  • i passed this with 1 minor. I forgot to do shoulder checks when he asked me to do hazard avoidance again for going 49kph :X

  • Well done matey.

  • You'd have failed your test for not doing a lifesaver on the U-turn!

  • That is not true. If the distance traveled forward is short enough then a ''lifesaver'' is not required. I know in areas of the country you have examiners who insist on this but not here. I had this argument with my own examiners and they agreed. I would not set away to complete a U turn in the first place if I was not absolutely sure it was safe, Hence, a life saver is only required should you find you have moved too far before turning.

  • Well, if that's the case then I wish you were around when I did my mod 1 last week. I failed it for the lifesaver on the U-turn - and I actually did do it, but the examiner reckoned it was "not good enough" (passed the test this morning though, so never mind). I guess I should ammend my comment to "you'd have failed if you had the same examiner as me!"

  • Yea its utter bullshit mate. Different examiners, different parts of the country. DSA stands for different standards agency ya know.

  • thanks for the vid i've got my fourth mod 1 test next monday failed on friday for going 2kph to slow on the swerve test. it was very wet

  • Just pass my module 1 today :) its much easier on 500 than 125 because of the swarve and emergancy stop.

thanks for IAN from North london motorcycle training (its much easier if you had good trainer) :)

  • @lurek100 i need to travel 60 miles to do my mod 1 which is gonner suck if its raining.

  • This is really helpful, I've got my CBT on friday and this vid's really boosted my confidence. I've practiced in a car park the past couple nights, so I think I should be ok.

  • thanks for this post, i failed my mod 1 on the figure 8, put my foot down, the rest was a breeze, i won't be failing next time :-)
