all you haters will be rooting for NJit in a few years when they start winning games. There is alot for a newly promoted division 1 team to deal with. Njit is playing experienced opponents and although the school is using alot of money building an athletic program, in the long run NJIT will benefit from a competative athletic program.

@RBNY123 Ever heard of Evansville university, or the University of South Dakota, these schools moved to Division I after being very succesful in Division II. So have alot of other schools that moved from Division II to division I that were terrible in their former division. NJIT is not going to be on the map, they will remain in obscurity. The only thing they will have acheived is spending more money on athletics.

I guess you've never had the plesaure of taking exams while sitting on the desks he's refering to. College sports (div 1 in particular) have no place at an IT school, especially one the size of NJIT. Why should we care about something that benefits the few? The only return we've had from sports is bad publicity.

First of all "athlete," im not fat. Also, you shouldn't be that excited to be on a sports team at a nerdy tech school. Maybe if you were more focused on classwork and not on the bowling team or whatever gay sport you play, you would've noticed that the desks are tiny and leave barely enough room for a notebook.

y would we care? because we have a division 1 program now and there should be a fan base that supports their athletics, and of course its gonna benefit few because theres not that many people that play sports at a division 1 level. also NJIT is still building their athletic program up. we just became division 1, it will take time to become a better program. support the athletic program, and stop putting shame to your school.

HAHAHAHAHA! Our basketball team blows! Who the hell cares though. Nobody cares about sports at NJIT except maybe the players and the coach. Why do we even have a basketball team? Maybe we should get rid of it and put the budget to better use towards something that most students would actually appreciate. Like what? I don't know. How about better desks that actually fit adults and regular sized notebooks! I had bigger desks in grammar school!
