If you want authentic, then you need to do it the way we are doing it. We use all of the original equipment EXCEPT live ammo. Although, you can get hurt if you get too close to the weapon when it's firing! Airsoft are plastic toys.
@ferdockm although i do agree with needing original equipment for authenticity. many airsoft guns arent p[plastic toys. companies like classic army make full metal and wood (if its called for) replicas for airsoft being built to the same specifications and weight. superficially they are identical. i guess all im sayin, is that you shouldnt knock airsoft. its a great game and theres something really satisfying in a sick sort of way when you actually shoot your opponent. i
yea i agree airsoft is not authentic at all im srry, i play blank fire and airsoft and blank is by far more fun and authentic.. u just cant beat the sounds of real guns fireing and burnt gun powder lol
88pie88, I've been to allot of battles and I can tell you, it's all about good referees. When you know there's a ref nearby, then your targets will get shot up. The other way I do it, is I wait until the guy is lookng at me, then I pop him and 9 times out of 10 he takes his hit. You can't spray ammo and hope to hit. You've really got to pik your targets. Matt
sorry for bothering. i am a nube reenactor of the 12SS panzerdivision and i am wating for my first reenactment in september comming up and so if a soldier aims at u and u now he shot u thats when u fall.??? do u have helping tips for me in the battlefeild?? i would love to have some tips for a beginer.. WaffenSStiger131 best reguards...
what i hate about these kind of things is that you could shot a fucking guy with a bar 4 feet away and they just ignor you and keep shoting. whats the point buying a box of 500 rounds (600$) just to play war wer no 1 dies
Yep, I reenact too, and it's universal, guys doing American impression simply don't die. You can empty an MP40 clip at a guy twenty feet away, he'll turn and start shooting at ya. Crazy! That lead halftrack was toast way down the road - like any legit guy in WWII would've continued to drive into a firing MG42? Good vid tho!
Oh come on now! A fat Airborne guy please! If you are going to represent the airborne get into the character and shead a couple of hundread LBS. If not ya should become a cook. Look at them. Look at any pictures of W.W.2 and You will see lean fellas.
What? It looked like a musket-era re-enactment! Firing at each other so stupidly close!!! Also, the Americans would never have stopped, mobility is key to getting out of an ambush. What a load of rubbish!
i like how the german guy is leisurely bending down to pick up the bullets, then slowly loading the mg's while the americans are 20 ft in front of him and the americans are not even shooting at him.
@KlausGunther This is absolutely 100% true! The American soldiers think that just because they won the war they mustve won every engagement as well. Its ridiculous, they believe that the German soldiers just do reenacting just to be killed by American soldiers. I wish the American soldiers would call a hit now and then, but alas they never will...
that has to be the lamest thing I have ever seen LOL everyone rolling up within 10 yards of each other and still blasting, Infantry that wont un-ass their carrier.. LAME
its funny their had to be 30 some germans shooting at them and none took hits lol, to bad the numnutz who owns the mg forgot the fireing pin for the other mg good 1 10th cyas there in a few weeks
Are there rules in these things? Or do people just shoot at each other until they have no more ammo? Maybe you guys should try paintball. At least if you get hit, you know it.
Calm down friend. What you didn't see what that a US 37mm gun parked down the road fired first at the German halftrack, then the Americans assaulted. So in fact, the German should sit down and stop reloading his weapon as he is dead by rule.
There wasn't a Storch was there? Well, these dudes were supposed to be regular US GIs, so they should have taken their hits! But it was a blast nonetheless.
Yea unfortunatly thats how the united states is set up. Alot of the time the Germans never get to win. Except at tacticals then the Americans always get pissed wen we beat them.
Did anyone see the 1st SS fighting beside the 2nd Ranger Div. firing a 37mm at the 101st? It was great. FUBAR but great. The best thing I heard from a Ranger,"Why aren't they taking they're hits?!"
This just shows how the American's never take their hits and never learned about the the damage that the 8mm round can deliver. And notice that the mg 42 gunner reloaded for the next battle he took his hit as did the other germans.I know I was there.

Well, I was there also. I remember up the main stretch, a Pak. 36 was knocking you guys out and you still kept coming. While this happened, my Kompanie was setting an ambush. When 101st ran into it, no-one died. That was strange, especially after we shot a little over $100 on 8mm rounds at them. You Ami's are hard to kill. Nevertheless, it was fun!!!!!
Cut!
Next scene to film is about the idiots commenting on this thread and why their opinions don't matter what-so-ever.

they have airsoft replica's of ww2 guns, that would make it more authentic cuz you could actually hit someone.

No one takes a hit at the GAP. It's a piss poorly run tactical event. Just go there for the shopping and kameraderie.

Friend,
I agree. The tactical has too many rules, not enough judges, not enough action.
ferdockm 4 years ago
Nice vehicles and weapons though poor tactical prowess on the allied side.... How close do you have to get before you take a hit....geez.
