My belief of there relationship is that Elizabeth was his least favorite because of her mother. Because she reminded him so much of her. Only in the end she would be the most successful of the three kids. Correct me if im wrong

@libby1994 I also heard, however, at one point someone made a comment about her maybe not being his daughter and H replied saying something about her favoring him (in looks) more than any of his other kids? usually when someone says 'my kid is just like me ' or whatever its kinda showing their pride in that child..if that makes sense lol.
