  • TOP TUNE, COOL AS FUCK

  • just a classic!!! amazing

  • too lazy to read all people comments

  • clint boon is a legend. moo!

  • It's funny how everyone remembers the keyboard players name and not the singers

  • @captaincomputa That's because Clint had a shitload more charisma and presence. Without him, the "cool as fuck" moniker would have made them a laughing stock! He was the one member of the band that Noel Gallagher looked up to. Tom is/was an awesome singer though. Looks like a proper mall santa these days though.

Like nobody really remembers the name of The Beach Boys lead singer, but they always know who Brian Wilson is.

  • 'Life' was one of the best albums of the 90's, hands down.

  • Now this is a fucking classic !!!! After a shit day at work, working for a cunt of a boss a few beers a listen to this song & all's well again..............

  • @MegaSte1972 Ha ha, i've just had a similar experience! New job in 2012 I hope.

  • INSPIRAL CARPETS ARE FUCKING BRILLIANT. im listening to their album devil hopping, at the minute, its rellli good. but it didnt make it big at all, it beats listenin to kings of leon or the fuckin wombats.

  • @ctrlaltdelete1970 Very interesting observation you made. Modern recordings sound very dense and lifeless compared to 60s/70s stuff. I think they use something called multiband compression to achieve this effect. Also radio stations use shitloads of compression to louder than the competition but it squashes the dynamic range. That why live music sounds so much better. It's not been f*cked with by some audio engineer nerd!

  • Interesting comment from Mr Casual. I was a mod at the time and a lot of us claimed this lot as one of our own! Not trying to start a row, just interesting is all!

  • Clint Boon.

    Clint Fucking Boon!

  • chilean and love the Inspiral Carpets.. born in 1989!!!! xDDD

I am have a 150 songs by inspirals in my ipod of 900

  • @nottforest , your a legend man, inspirals

    the greatest band ever. moo!

  • Love the inspirals, moo!

  • when the hair is bowl cut, are they on acid...????

  • bowl cuts are coming back. theyre all the rage now

  • The bowl-cut made the music better.

  • Wake Up...Wake Up....Here she comes..

  • Give us a wank!

  • MOO! inspirals i love them.

  • @bohsblur Love them 2..maybe too much lol

  • @hibeegirl17 , You can never love the inspirals

too much. Their music is my drug of choice.

    cool as fuck! lol

  • Good days

  • Captivating MV

  • Brilliant!!!!!!!!!!! yeh!!!!!!

  • reminds me of italia 90, tripping out ma tits for the first time, 20 inch flares and laughing at gazza : )

  • @scotstim75 Im 31 so missed out on the late 80s early 90s scene - Ive heard it was one of the best times to be out clubbin - I love that era of music - Technotronic, Nenah Cherry, Madchester, raves, etc. It must have been something to hae lived though.

  • Dear Vevo, I searched for INSPIRAL CARPETS! I really don't think I'd be interested in all this nigger music you're flanking your videos with.

  • tacky @tcvicesquad

  • LOVE THESE LOADS! not many people know of them, holy crap theyre missing out on amazing music ey!!!! only know this is how it feels because of the song they sing to manchester city!

  • @misswinkywinkybumbum not many people know of them? Are you kidding!!!! These are the Inspiral Carpets for fuck sake, where have you and these people been?

  • @DelBluenose80 i mean my age lmao!

  • Craig Gill, The drummer is my dad.

I beg him to get his hair like that again :')<3

  • @xXGeeGeeGeorgiaXx , im there biggest fan.

Lucky girl. YOUR dad is a leged,.cool as fuck.

  • @bohsblur , sorry legend..

  • @bohsblur haha, but when you live with him, have him nagging at you to do your homework, tidy your room etc...its much different (;.

  • @xXGeeGeeGeorgiaXx Well can you please please pretty please ask him and the rest of the band to get together for a reunion tour, they are one of the best bands ever!!!!!cool as fuck......PS. did i say please? :)

  • mooooooooooooo

  • I remember an interview with Shawn Ryder from yers ago in which he described Inspiral carpets as sheepshaggers.

  • Meh! "He Goes Out the Rise" was better!

  • madchester :)

  • Happy new year to ALL inspirals fans.

  • Best song by far to come out of the Madchester scene

  • Gotta love Inspiral Carpets. The Madchester era gave us so many timeless tunes

  • Is this the old band of noel gallagher?

  • @RoxMenno He was their roadie before joining Oasis.

  • I had the pleasure of seeing Tom Hingly live up in North Scotland last year and he was still as good if not better than the ole days, He then sat and had a few pints with me after the gig, the guy is a real gent with his feet firmly placed on the ground. COOL AS FUCK>>>>>MOO<<<<<

  • oh my god there is nothing better than the inspirals...tom is just the best xxxx i was totally obsessed when i was in my late teens am close to 40 now!! as hard as that is to admit...lol

  • horrible. -bri

  • @MelodyAllana Up your ass!

  • mooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo !!!!!

  • One of my favourite songs ever. I remember being obsessed with it when I first heard about it about 10 years ago and looking for their CDs all over my trips to Italy. I finally did get an album as a present, but this song is by far the best I have heard.

  • BEST manchester band EVER. Vocals, Guitar, Energetic Live. LOVE these guy! I remember when featured "Commercial Rain" on 120 Minutes... hooked me i an instant. Where are they now? They should release new material!

  • @djkenny What about the Happy Mondays? And more importantly The Smiths!

  • @GelGsound Honestly, I never thought the Happy Mondays were as good as Inspiral Carpets. Hard to compare The Smiths, I mean I was talking about later acts when I mentioned best "manchester band", guess I should have said of the 90's...; ) No doubt The Smiths would be the BEST Manchester band (of all time)

  • @Insolution55

This album went number 2 and they had three more top 20 albums so it's not as if they weren't well known.

  • The music press always saw the inspirals as third best,

to the roses and mondays. ALL inspirals fans know they

are the BEST and still have a huge cult following.

    cool as fuck, moooooooo!

  • Muy buen tema.

    Saludos

  • Keep up the good work educating your mates manchesrgirl111!!!!!

  • these guys are class always was, back in the early 1990's all the so called cool people didnt like em, they we all Stone Roses or whatever, but they were great!!!

  • ive never even heard of these guys before, dang i like this song though!!

  • madchester need i say more

  • Mooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!

  • Brilliant! Part of the 80's casual scene, along with: depeche mode, new order, half man half biscuit, joy division, david bowie, the specials, the smiths, the doves, primal scream, the clash, happy mondays. and many others. Notice that all the Bands/Artists from then have become LEGENDS, todays era's got nothing on it!, Coming from a 13year old!!

  • @XTunnicliffeX Don't talk shite, you're just too young to know where the good music is.

  • @XTunnicliffeX not the casuals mate

  • I remember the first time i saw them on some obscure Glasgow cable channel in 89 and they blew me away...i'd already got into the Stone Roses and Happy Mondays.....great days to be 19...the young now have nothing in comparrison......fuckin X Factor ha !!!!

  • Thank you Noel Gallgaher, I would've missed this band without his name dropping. Fucking quality song, suprised they didn't get bigger.

  • Along with Marillion this band is one whosecontribution to the UK music scene is often overlooked, but once discovered they are like hidden jewels...

    Amazing band, love every song...

  • Superb song, great band

  • I want a jumper like that!

  • What does this mean , why does she come in the fall ? Amazing song live if you like lots of drumming.

  • the drumer craig still a an old m8 from school lives in chadderton

  • Only really got into this band after seeing the lasers and drum majorettes spectacular that was their headline appearance at Reading 1990. Was sufficiently impressed to see them again at my local sports centre the folowing April, a gig at which one of their roadies was that Mancunian bloke with the big eyebrows, little did I know at the time of course, or that he would name his band after said venue.

  • Great video. I love the way they float around in an orangey space and there's a drum floating around with them too, but it doesn't hit any of them. Pretty amazing video effects.

  • You should learn to walk should learn to walk before crawl....

    Moo!

  • Nice appearance by a young Boris Johnson as the bandleader.

  • just class, the best band ever,, mooooooooooo!

  • Moo!

  • "It's just this fear, the fear I have to go about you" TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOP Tune. Love it. Bad bad bad image though.... can't remember it looking so bad back then... maybe the nights at the Oak and Skyrack in Headingley may have somehow affected my perception.... :-) - Ooh, those were the bad mad days of Polytechnic life in the late 1980's early 1990's.

  • Well sed MG3AEH. Clint Boon once sed that the inspiral Carpets went around the world 6 times and sold millions of records worldwide but would never be as gud as the roses. They were far too modest.

  • Thank you Inspiral Carpets

  • Argubaly the best band of the Madchester era, although they never had the celebrated hedonsitic glory days like there contempories, the Roses, or the Mondays; they never failed to deliver a bad tune. While Ryder and co were coking it up down at the HAC, these guys were grafting there nuts off in the studio or touring relentlessly, the inspirals never got the recogniction they deserved.!

  • such a great song.. i forget how good this band were, great live..

  • i remember been in raves 87-89 and along with early house they played carpets, roses, charlatons and mondays it was`nt all about dance music.

fucking partys used to go mental when they put on some indie.

  • @smithdvr ,..them early days,78 to 89 sounded ace,.was 15 in 91 and was a late comer to it all,.Inspirals in april 91 was me 1st gig,saw the Roses in 95 aswell, but your a lucky guy cos i would of loved to of been there when the House scene started,..respect to you....

  • @SuperGrimupnorth hey mate the music is still around today, the scene and atmosphere is`nt as big or good but if you and your mates find a decent retro rave night with some old school ravers you can have a fucking bouncing night.

its not just the music that makes a good night, its also the people?

  • @smithdvr yeah man,..your right,..but its the 70's and 60's,and 80's that still appeal to me more,.cos bands were more real and the whole punk scene was electric,.its all to commercial now a days,..but your right about the people, cos when i started clubbin in 91 the crowed were unreal,1 great atmosphere, but in 91 i noticed fights happenin and shit E bein soled, all scenes die in the end...but it was a great scene fella,..nice 1

  • ..if they had a better stylist, this could have been huge, yo.

  • why the fuck cant people make music like this any more it cant be rocket science fuck I would rather listen to this then any track by Hard Fi the Killers etc

is there something wrong with me I cant feel the same emotions listening to modern music

  • @Runrome fkn agree with u buddie........the likes of stone roses etc send shivers up my spine.........the crap around today is unreal

  • @SpacedRoundUp or should i say down my spine...haha

  • @Runrome 1 year later, when you compare Hard Fi and The Killers to mainstream bands now, you'll think how bad the current bands are compared to Inspiral Carpets.

  • Bugger Lugs Himself

    Legends

  • The drummer of this band will take you on a Morrissey Tour of Manchester if you like. My friend did the tour and had a great time taking in all the sights and sounds(and smells) of Mosers Manchester. All for a tenner!

  • @kingspunkbubble

It's Craig Gill that does the tours....!!!!!

  • Why can't we indicate thiis video in our orkut???

  • Great rumble in this track

  • punks with organs. That's how the carpets roll.

  • total class, luv from aberdeen lads

  • What an amazing blast from the past. Great, great song from a great, great band who definitly didn't get the recognition they deserved.

  • I nearly forgot how much I loved this band.

  • whats with the beatle-esk haircuts?

  • what has my spellin got to do with him bein a nonce, ahhaha

  • What's "nonce" and "murk"? Are the Inspiral Carpets popular in the UK? I've been a fan since 1990; many great bands are not appreciated in the US.
