I hate my glass top stove, but it does fine with cast iron. Cast iron doesn't scratch it any more than anything else... and despite a terrible response time to reduced heat, the glass top otherwise works satisfactorily. Go for it!

Are you using that pan on a ceramic top electric stove!?
Can you do that?! I've avoided cast iron because I was afraid of scratching the glass..
