and the signature for world war 2 already was set during the treaty of versailles. germany was blamed ruined for a war they didnt started. but what i believe some of the main reasons for ww1 was that germany and its allies became to powerfull in the eyes of the french and english. if you look at europe germany haves 2/3 of all cole in europe to mantain its industry so it could keep building weapons at a fast rate. and this was big treat for the french and english so they decided to figth germany

its logical that ww1 was overshadowed by ww2 many more countrys where involved in ww2 then ww1 and there was figthing evrywhere around the globe in ww2. and do,nt forget the so called holocaust of the nazi,s in ww2 thats why almost evryone speaks about ww2 and many people around my age do,nt even know that there was a ww1. because ww1 happend 100 years ago. but that is no reason to forget the men in ww1 who figted for there ego governements and died for nothing.

The Great War has been overshadowed by Vietnam and World War II. The Great War needs more recognition. No one really knows the true purpose of the fighting. I respect all the fallen soldiers throughout the 20th century regardless of uniform

No one remembers the hell those who fought went through, not to make the world safe, but merely to survive. Some, in America, say that the War of 1812 is the forgotten war. They are wrong. It is the Great War that has been forgotten. And that is a cause for shame.

Have you heard about the Ypres fire department? Every night at 8pm they play the last post in memorial of all those who fell in the war. They started doing so after the war's end, with the only exception being during WW2 when it wasn't allowed. For 90 years they have done this every night. If that doesn't say something about the impact, I don't know what does

That's a reason why I love metal. Is there a rap or even a rock band with lyrics about History, litterature, and all that kind of stuff ? I mean, yes, there could be some... but in metal, Sabaton isn't the only band with this kind of lyrics. And that is very cool. No attack on rap and other types of music, of course. everyone pay attention to the shot at 2:26. German soldiers rescue a frenchman. To me, that shot is the face of the whole war, all the soldiers are equal victims of it. A fellow soldier is in trouble and they help him even though he wears a different uniform.

Yes I know about it. You should watch the french movie joyeux noël if you'r interested in the 1914 christmas truce. Great story if you ask me, it shows the soldiers fought each other cause they were conscripted, not cause they hated each other.

What i pointed at however, was the difference between the people making the descicions and those on the other end of the stick, the soldiers executing those orders. Those soldiers all suffer from the war, no matter the colour of their uniform
