But they should have changed the lyrics a bit.

Vitas was in the show but maybe they didn't tell him the depth.

The depth of the show. What Mulan means to the whole WEI nation. Cannot play play. Everything must be perfect. The words not suitable must change.

His high pitch notes were as good as Yanzi and Jane Zhang man

i love his singing but i feel like the english doesn't really grasp the emotions of the song compared to stefanie's version. i like the haunting beginning of his opera voice. too bad he couldn't sing this in chinese. then it would have been perfect!

@Toiiwm actually I think it's beacuse it was translated from Chinese to English, and some Chinese characters are hard to express in English; in the other hand, some English lyrics sounded weird when translated to Chinese... well, Disney's songs are examples... (me and my sis laughed at the translated lyrics because it's strange while it was trying to fit in the melody with the same meaning)

@kevint32 That's just a personal pov on my part. Whether Vitas is a gay or not, there is no denial to the fact that he has a wonderful voice. As a Stefanie Sun fan, you may of course keep defending that she has much better aspects than Vitas in terms of singing, expression etc. You are, after all, entitled to your own opinions just as I have rights to mine. And seriously, when it comes to personal preferences, there is absolutely no outright objectivity.
