My guess is that he had been doing that kind of cutting for the 5 or 6 minutes of intro beats on that track and thats why the crowd goes so wild when the horns kick in

This is how to DJ imho.... I am so bored and going out to see lame DJs blending tracks like a computer would do instead of actually cutting and working ...not just for show but to build hype and manipulate.

respect your opinion, but theres an art in building hype by mixing and blending same way is there is an art in cutting

its all about presentation, there are some sloppy scratch djs and some poor blenders, its all about how well you are in tune with the music
