It's reverse... Mario is running away from a dirty proposal from Bowser and Peach (he's not into Peach). Bowser sends his minions to stop him and Peach her mushroommen that insist that he goes back (to another castle). Frustrated, peach sends him a message to go rescue her, which mario ignores . There is also 2P mode with Luigi, and it's even weirder.
