Does anyone know who the guy who holding the map or what ever that was in his hand?My dad served in the 25th and I wonder if that Charles Wayne Jones..Its about 59 secounds into the video.Thats the person Im talking about..Thanks everyone.
We ( Russians) admaire job U guys did there, never the less world systems cash proved, fucking commy ideology cant be defeated by firearms, only time and economics
@mscat54 my uncle was killed in 69 he was with the 25th would you please talk to me he died june 3 1969 i cantfind anybody to talk to i have the up most respest for you vets you got a raw deal when you got home.my e mail is russmac64@yahoo.com thank you for your time
Video title is mistaken; the guy being interviewed is a Company Commander. He simply commented (looking back on his '67 experiences) that being a Platoon Leader (LT) was more fun...
@weswg A ton of ranger influence yeah, if you didn't want to be a ranger before and your next duty station was with the 25th you def would have more of a drive to do it,
I would like to find out where this footage had come from and if i could find more. A friend of mine was there right about that time. In fact, he described a battle they were in that took place about 2 months after the date of this video. give me a holler if anyone can help. thanks
@facejerk ....This was Capt Frank Smith, he was CO of Bravo Co 2'27 Wolfhounds from about the first of Sept '69 thru about the end of Feb '70. They were at Sugar Mill, Phuoc Luu village, PB Kotrc, PB Harris, FSB Jackson and PB Shamrock in that time frame. These were all in the area around and along the Van Co Dong River south and west of Trang Bang toward the Cambodian border. I was with Bravo Co from Oct '68 -Oct '69.
@snooch1975 Best damned grunt outfit in the US Army - Bar none - No Fear On Earth. I carried demo for my company my last six months in-country even though I was a grunt (11Bravo).. We had trouble getting a caslteman more than maybe one day a week, so I took a short course in demo in Cu Chi. My fellow platoon members nicknamed me "The Dynamic Demo Man". Proud to have been a Wolfhound.

Oh and as a correction - he was a Company Commander not a Platoon Leader!
Is there any more footage of him or his company at your website?

this is a great vid. I love how they don't have piles of shit to wear like we do today. Cacti! Broncos! Tropic Lightning!

my father did a tour with 25th, i think about that time, can anyone out there help? thanks.
ortiz118 3 years ago
This was probably filmed during the 25th's assignment in the "Parrot's Beak" by the Cambodian border.
Tropic Lightning rocked in VN, and today in Iraq.
