  • world birds with biggest soul i have ever seen

  • I got one of these parrots myself. Toobad that's it's stupid as hell XD. Can only sing a half tact of a stupid melody. Your parrot rocks but I stll love mine! XD

  • かわいすぎる~!!!

  • Ohhhh c'est top mignon!!! Je voudrais un cockatiel!

  • He NEEDS a companion. Cockatiels are not solitary. They are social birds. If you are not their companion then they need other birds for compfort.

  • True. However, my bird does just fine with me as his full time human-mate.

  • That's not true at all. They only need a companion if the owner doesn't have enough time to give them attention. I just got one & he's doing just fine. Giving kisses & letting people pet him after a few days. They're great pets!!

  • Cockatiels do need a companion, but that companion could be anything from a dog to a human. Wait until you know more about birds before you give advice or criticize people; others could be harmed by your ignorance.

  • you realize that any bird can sing. I have two cockatiels that can sing. Lilly (girl) and mickey(boy). Mickey has a video, Mickey the danceing bird. its way better because he dances!

  • How arrogant. I thought that this was a very cute video.

  • Il chanterait pas la chanson d'Animal Crossing sur DS ?

  • It doesn't seem like one of those songs to me.

  • Oh! Qui est si mignon!

  • yer tout cute!

  • im french from quebec canada lol

  • hihi looks also like mine =) i love those birds its soooo cute how he's singing =)

  • he looks like mine exactly!

  • man..do anyone of you know how it feels when a cockatiel flew out of the window and never returns..cause that just happen to me 10 minutes ago..now i'm like fucking emo, he was my pet for 6 months..

  • Oh no!!! did you find it eventually?

You must clip the wings of the birds if you plan to let them out of the cage. I'm sorry to hear that, let me know how it went.

  • I am so sorry - I have two tiels and I could not imagine loosing either. One is 17 years old and the other is 9 years. I do not clip the wings (the one reason I love/envy birds is their ability to fly).

I know they would not willingly leave me, but once they get outside they fly, turn and look and cannot figure out where they started from, so cannot return.

Cockatiels are social, so hopefully someone 'captured' the bird and it will at leat live out a good life.

  • my bird drowned :'(

  • aww im sorry to hear that

  • You really should clip their wings. Flying away is not the only tragedy that could befall an unclipped bird. Windows, animals, and boiling pots all pose a significant risk.

  • Dunno, around our house, our cockatiel is very safe. Windows... there are thousands or almost in our house, never hit one, no pets either so, ... and the stove, well, she learned that the hard way, like anyone would. No harm there.

  • lol wen i played this my cockatiel on my shoulder payed 100% attention!! soo cute!

  • owe he looks just like mine : ) totly adorable : )

  • thanks for posting this, i like to play it and hear my cockatiel respond to the song! :)

  • im trying to teach how to sing and he listens to this everyday so he's started to do it now

  • Really? cuz im trying to teach mine as well, how long did it take for him to learn it.

  • wtf..is that the whistling song from space balls?

  • i knew i knew it from somewhere :D

  • why not get him a friend?

  • my bird watch this with me and he favorited.

  • damn all my bird can do is say "BIRDY BIRDY"!

  • mine doesnt say anything at all!!

  • well, i also believe that, birds shouldnt be in a cage.

  • This boy is looking for a mate. It is quite common for male parrots to mimick sounds in order to impress a female with his vocal ability. He is a beautiful boy and very talented with his vocals. I am so glad you let him out of the cage.

  • my cockatiel watched this with me and he started singing with yours! lol

  • Hahahah I watched this with my bird and she loved it!

  • my bird looks exactly like yours.

anddddd loves to listen to your bird.

  • yeah same!

  • Lol, my bird Chou doesn't seem interested.

    Oh well, cute bird!

  • My bird loves the video!!!!!

every time i play it my bird starts singing

    brilliant!!!!! :)

  • So adorable! Such a talented, beautiful bird.

  • cute bird <3

  • : )! hes sooooooo cute!

  • All my little boy, Kraziffir, can do is wolf-whistle. xD

    Cockatiels rock! <3

  • Haha!

I just realized that your Cockatiel has the same toy and rope perch as Kraz. I also don't know why I said that. oO

    Lovin' the vid! x3

  • ROOFFLL awesome man be proud of whatcha got

  • lovely birds

  • aw, that's so cute :)

my normal gray flies to breakfast the second i take him out of the cage w/o giving me a second thought :P

  • my cockatiel can say B S

  • Hah you try doing that without vocal chords.

  • of course its singing

  • gah so jealous! my cockatiel is a female so it's all boring and stuff. it doesn't sing or whistle. it jsut sits around. and it's afraid of EVERYTHING. when it sheds and drops a feather it's TERRIFIED.

but i still love her :D

  • How's your bird? something in the room might be scaring her, a shadow or a lamp even or a mirror. Try covering part of her cage with a clean solid color bath towel, put part of it in front of the cage and down one side so she can have privacy and hide if she feels like it, she'll be scared when you first place the towel there, but she'll get used to it and feel more safe. And it might also block her view of the thing scaring her?

  • haha o man i see all these vids of other cockatiels singing cool songs when mine just sits around making a kissing sound and being able to open his own cage door by himself....it gets old after awhile trust me hahah.....there still the cutest birds ive seen in awhile

  • lol, my birdie imidielty started singing u r my sunshine! hes so cute!

  • my cocka tiel sits on top of laptop and he flew down to see this......cute

  • that so cute my cockatiel and me watch this every day:)

  • wow. this is cute, my cockatiel sings every monrning too. he says pretty bird though, then he'll continue on with his song. he's learned how to say pretty bird, and this morning he said peek-a-boo. our birds are also similar colorss :) sweeeeet.

  • my bird was singing his heart out when i put hinm on the keyboard so he could hear this i have a vid of him

  • Hi you have a wonderful cockatiel.I have a question I've never had birds before and I got some Parakeets about 5 months ago and two cockatiels and one of them is missing some feathers on her head.I was just wondering what that means?I've tried looking online.

  • If what you're referring to resembles a bald spot on the back of the head(just behind the crest, typically), then this is perfectly normal...not all Cockatiels have this, but it's nothing to worry about unless you have another bird who's plucking his feathers! :)

  • ZOMG! SO CUTE!

    ...

ima gonna played kh 1 nowz! :P

(cuteness though, my birdies screeching at ur birdie, trying to find him)

  • Is He Singing that evry Morning?! i wish that i had a bird who singed like that!

  • i love your cockatiel

i got one the day before yesterday nd hes realy cool could you give me some tips on making him frindly and sing like yours(mne only screeches)

  • Beuatiful bird! SOOOOO damn cute :)

  • he can whistle just like my cokckatiel

  • heh my cockatiel looks at it then my hair then ignores the video :/

  • Awe, so beautiful =]

My own coackatiel loves listening to it lol

  • OMG!! ITS SINGING THAT SONG BART SINGS ABOUT LISA- U NO..: lisa. she her teeth are big and green.. lisa. she smells like gasoline. lisa. la la la lisa.... hahaha!!! sweet! THE BIRD HAS THE POWER!!

  • is a super cockatiel!bravo!bravo!

  • Bravo Giovani!

  • zhe cage is much too small and cochatiels schould never be without any othe cockatiel..

look how desprate its tryin to get contact..

    poor little bird

  • That is absolute bunk. The cage is perfectly fine in size and although cockateils are social birds they do not need another cockateil as long as they are getting contact from people. As the bird knows songs like bridge over the river kwai (whatever song that is) its obviously being sung to by its owner. Are you saying when I hum to myself its because I am despirately trying to get contact? Bah.. why do I feed the trolls?

  • and cockatiels don't talk to themsselves.. it wants zu communicate.. nothing less.. if you would have a look at other videos you would maybe notice that it is courtship.. and do you really believe you could be that kind of partner for your bird?

    it is actually cruelty...

in the english language area it's unfortunately not known that things regarding animal husbandry have changed in the last 60 years..

  • Look, it's not the type of being that the cockatiel socialises with, it's the quality of the attention. I bought a cockatiel who was living happily with its owner, and put it in an aviary with 3 other cockatiels: it got depressed and plucked most of its feathers out even with other cockatiel companions.

  • true! I have a bird which is alone and there is nothing wrong with her. She acts normal and she is very fine cocktails

  • Luv this bird... I also play this vid over & over so my bird can learn, but he just loves to shriek. Oh well, I still luv my baby.

  • I've been playing this to my cockateil too. She (I think) is very young. She doesnt whistle as lightly, which is why I think its a female - she's a bit shriekier. Is it possible to teach them to tone it to more of a whistle or is that only the males. I notice the singers have a fully yellow head, mine only has yellow around her cheeks (another reason I think its a she). She learned how to wolf whistle right away so I am gonna keep teaching her but I would love to get that soft whistle going!

  • Female cockatiels generally don't sing. The males do. No point in trying if you have a female... Sorry. =\

And I have a female cockatiel. So don't feel left out hahaha

  • Oh well.. she's adorable and so very cuddly. Wouldn't trade her for the world :) she particularly loves having her head scratched which I find so sweet.

  • this is a male. It looks different then female because the head is very yellow and the female hasn´t got so much yellow color in thier heads. The male learn to sing as Andrew write. I have a female and the only thing she can is whistle, but she is very tamm and a nice cockatiel

  • I have one very smart cockatiel. He's like 12 years old and has no sign of stopping. lol. My brother taught him this really cute whistle too. =]

  • loool:)

  • my bird keeda does the same thing it's so cute

  • Wow, you sure have a handsome and talented bird. He seems very friendly and sweet.

    JP in NJ

  • brill

  • oh sweeeeeet lol =D

  • nice :D

  • Bridge Over the River Kwai - or at least a good chunk of it. Did you teach him that?

  • my favorite...i know i should have favorites....she wont talk. she only knows one whistle and won't talk. i think she gets confused when her human makes these funny whistly sounds.

  • That is very cute!! How old is your tiel? I have a lutino and he's 1yr and 1 month old. He does an occasional whistle, but he doesnt sing. Did you teach yours to do this?

  • I have 2 cockatiels, one female (2 and a half years old) and one male (nearly 6 months). The male catches onto whistle sounds and parts of songs more than the female. I think that's one of the ways you can tell if they're male or female. The other is spots under the feathers for females?

  • Oh em Gee!! Mine does that too!! :D :D :D cuteness!

  • Too Cute!! Luv the little guy, he looks just like my Bird, only mine doesn't sing.

  • I played this for my cockatiel and he went nuts trying to find the little bird in the monitor hehe

I don't think my little guy has had so much fun wiht the computer before

  • nice bird bro!

  • I appreciate your concern for the bird .. but lonely.. unless this poster has a very sophisicated recording studio they were right there with the bird. I think the bird is extremely happy... nice cage, toys etc

  • This is a beautiful bird,, but I think it is really very lonely, and singing out in hope that anouther bird will answer its call.. Thats how mine do when I leave the room where they are... They get lonely just like we do, and insecure..They are terriffic pets. I have 2, and 2 parakeets. Have you considered getting this bird a friend? They really need one of their own kind to hang out with...lol :^) Thanks for sharing....

    Dale

  • awesome bird he's so cute luv im

  • Oh the little sweet pea!! I hope he lets you kiss him and rub his little head! His song is the best!

  • Lovely talented tiel!! Thanks for posting.

  • That is a happy, talented bird. XD My cockatiel is also attempting to sing along.

  • Your bird is so adorable, my cockatiel loves to whistle happily as well. He looks very happy in his home, it's good to see you're taking care of him :).

  • Aww how cute!

    =D

  • i think s/he sings the song of that movie called "kwaii bridge"

  • Wow! Amazing! :) my bird is weird cause i try to go and pet him and he hisses at me and tries to bite me :(.

  • You're not the only one, one of my Cockatiels, Cheeky loves to hiss at you and bite you.

    He loves to whistle though.

  • Gorgeous, I love how he keeps singing as he descreetly makes his way to the cage door and laughs as he escapes! Such characters, cockatiels are beautiful.

  • OMG i have cocktaiels but they sing part of the song

  • my cockatiel love your video hes trying to make this litlle song lol cute

  • Who would fake a singing cockatiel...?

  • Omg, you have the same cage as me, big one too :)

  • Aww, beautiful! I am getting a Budgie, Cockatiel or a Peach Faced Lovebird. I'm not quite sure which yet. But I love them all. I am so excited. Great video!
