The Ford Fusion Hybrid Achieves Best Fuel Economy in its class. 475+ miles on a single tank 30+ miles per gallon. Technologically Advanced electronic instrument cluster and Hybrid Drive System. All for just $29,795. The Mercury Milan Hybrid is also leading in its class.
Hybrids are shit, they dont tell you the hidden costs of it. If you do a bit of arithmetic you'll discover that you need to keep the car for 27 years before you break even in fuel savings. What kind of battery will hold its full charge for that long as it ages. THerefore how much does it cost to replace and dispose. Then servicing !!! Hybrids dont save you SHIT if you factor everything in. The only car that can save is a FULLY electric car such as the EV1 that GM killed 10 years ago.
No hidden costs + there's the hybrid tax credit. Legitimate sources who've actually done the math (e.g., CR) estimate an ROI in a range from 3-9 years, not 27, depending on hybrid bought, driving style, & future gas prices. People like buying something that doesn't pollute filth into the air, or to reduce dependence on foreign oil, or the common good, not just to save gas $. The car will still run on the gas engine alone even if the hybrid battery "dies", & will still get excellent MPG's,,,
Wow that looks promising. And a lot of Prius type buyers will buy an American car (so they can "help" the economy) and still be able to say they are helping the enviroment.
if you buy any kind of hybrid you are not helping the environment. making there batteries puts tons of co2 in the atmosphere, it is equivalent to driving 45,000 miles before it even benefits the environment. all a hybrid will do is save you money in the long-run.
You happen to be wrong, it is the NMH batteries that all Hybrids have are not nearly as bad on the environment as the lead acid batteries in common ICE cars.
Exactly, send money overseas and they come back to buuy you out. Besides costs are higher, because of higher costs of parts, labor, service , etc on Japanese. That's how they screw you.
i agree!! the current fusion is the ugly ones but the new milans are getting the old fusion's headlights while the fusion is getting a sexy new headlight :( it's fucked up! they screwed up a beautiful car!
yeah... i still prefer the milan's back over the fusion's... i own a milan and i love it from front to tail so... hehe i'm getting a 2010 lincoln mkZ tho when it comes out... those are hot! i love LED tail lights!

I hate lead acid batteries, if you drain there power down almost completely you run the risk of damaging the battery.

the milan is a sharp looking car

Hope it will be a "plug in Hybrid", because remember, servicing those cost more than a traditional, so not much money to save in the early years.
