An actual tv series is planned for release between 2010 and 2012. It's produced by George Lucas and could supposedly go for hundreds of episodes.

@janissary211 No. It's already been stated that the series won't have anything to do with the Jedi or Sith. They will be mentioned, but it's only focusing on the other events happening. Nothing directly linked with the Emperor or Darth Vader or any other force user.

I really hope that someday, Lucas or is successor to his 'throne', would make the last three Skywalker movies long talked of when everyone was older and it dealt with a new chapter of Luke and Leia's children. If so, they should be filmed as the older films were with very little CGI since the newer ones pretty much stunk. Then maybe make other films with other characters around the time of the original films. Newer technology doesn't make them look better. The models were excellent then.

Yeah I was never a serious defender of Wikipedia, but I don't see the why someone would make all of that stuff up on a Star Wars encyclopedia.

Fact is, there are other sources that show quite a few survivors after Order 66 (some of whom led Vader into a trap, though the attempt to destroy him was of course unsuccessful).

There were few survivors of the whole purge, certainly, but initially, some Jedi escaped the temple and others survived due to some clones rejecting their order.
