How would you know, beyond this 3 minute video, that they don't get walks/play time? I don't think they look sad, they look submissive and not high energy scary kennel dogs like most videos on YT!

One of my dogs is a GSD and he goes ballistic when strangers even come near the house. No doubt he is the reason why mine is one of the few people's houses in my neighborhood that hasn't been broken into. He is extremely protective of the house, my family, and even my other dog. He's good at determining friend and foe and is OK when we invite people to my house though. There is a procedure I go through when inviting people in which he knows they are OK.

They trust humans implicitly, even strangers, and if someone brings a baby into our home Shadow will cry like crazy trying to get to the baby to protect it. He doesn't understand we are keeping him away from the baby for health reasons so he doesn't lick it but he goes nuts, whining like crazy. They just want to protect people not attack.

The white dog is definitely a Great Pyrenees, Not a Ovcharka... I have 2 Great Pyrenees and the male is the mirror image of this dog.. I also have a Ovcharka... These dogs are related through blood... Pyrenees are very good family dogs.. The Ovcharka is my body guard...They both look sad being caged up... Mine have a large area to run and they are happpy... Both are beautiful animals

The Caucasian Ovcharka is rated as one of the top guard dogs ever. It is a very smart dog, with the unique ability to be willing to make its own decisions much more than any other dog.
One reason it's such a great guard dog is because of its size (up to 170 lbs), its thick fur (originally evolved to resist wolf bites), and it's powerful jaws. One Caucasian Ovcharka could take down a pack of 4 wolves attempting to prey on a flock of sheep.

They are quite common in Russia and Eastern Europe. They have been used there for thousands of years as shepherd dogs, where wolves were often rampant, and a powerful animal such as this was needed to defend flocks of sheep.
They are slowly becoming more popular in America, but many times people buy them not knowing what they are getting themselves into. This is a difficult dog to manage.

i am going to georgia this summer, i will get the shepherd dog they are soo cuteee, really like teddy bears.. need a lot of attention though:)

yeah you are right it was in Belgrade zoo. It's only so weird that they keep dogs in that zoo. Is the dog still there? Because I'm going soon to Belgrade..:)

Dude, those dogs need an absolute expert dog owner. If you get one, you need to be ready and able to take care of it properly. They are absolute beautiful dogs, but can be extremelly dangerous.

yeah poor dog was put in a really small cage, and i doubt the owner fed him enough. good thing i have my dog now, or he would have been put down along with the dad. :(

ConiferTreez rofl? are you stupid or just pretending? no dog can take down a full grown man???? im assuming you mean 70-80kg man, dog when attacks it lunches itself onto the victim with jaws opened, depending on size and height, small dogs like pitbulls go for forearms or legs, big dogs throw themselves on the victim and aim for upper body. Unless you stand in some protective position the dog will get you down with impact, now the bite- when you feel the pain you stop thinking, your in a shock
