  • We can stop the drugs, Bill, we just have to want to. The difference is that we specifically have a God-given right to keep and bear arms.

Damn, I never knew Paul Rodriguez was such a fucking racist. This is eye-opening.

  • that Latino guy is annoying.

  • @bravowhiskey223 Im Latina please don't judge us on this dick head.

  • Today Maher is just a naked shill for Obama.

  • To be FAIR, Bill Maher wasn't as bad on his ABC show as he is now. I think that they kept him a little more under control back then.

  • Maher always has to take a commercial whenever the conservative starts getting on a roll.

  • Mrs De De Meyers, you know Mrs TWO DUI's should not be lecturing anyone, and I mean ANYONE about responsibility!

  • "If someone has guns and gets drunk, he might shoot someone!"

Or he might go into a kitchen drawer and grab a knife. Forget guns, let's ban kitchen knives and alcohol!

  • maher is my one and only push for the holocost. nough said!

  • that "comedian" should go back to the streets that he is so proud to be from.

  • Rodriguez is such an asshole. Its about time Scarborough shut him down. Myers is such a racist, liberal idiot. She defends criminals rights, and craps on the 2nd Amendment. Rodriguez calls everyone who is white a racist. In my book, judging someone based on race makes him the racist. I never thought I would say this, but Schroeder kicked ass. I have managed to dislike the guy for a long time, but he beat up on the lefties in this vid at least.

  • rodriuez is your typical hispanic.he believe he has a right to use racist lingo and its ok because he's an hispanic but no 1 else has the right to use racist stereotypes. He also knows that hispanics aare for the most part criminals who refuse to work for a living.Look at arizona.

  • ...Maher is a NAZI/Democrat Party high-profile HACK.

  • Paul Rodriguez should be bitch slapped

  • paul was relevant and made some relevant points, but i see the nra club has ganged up and filled the page with their comments...

    which are bullshit

he was even gracious enough to apologise that shows character

  • Don't like guns? Don't buy one, MORON. They're a RIGHT, and you don't ban them for everybody just because some gun owners are irresponsible and stupid.

  • @Edgehead10075 i see u've made several comments filling up the page, to no one in particular, even though everyone here agrees with u. that gets me suspicious...

what r u trying to achieve?

and now u've found someone to call a moron. well done.

what if everyone was given a button , where, upon pressing that button, u could blow up anyone instantly. how much safer would we be? would u feel safer?

what if everyone was given a nuclear button?

the point is it's EASIER to kill with a gun.

  • @natmanprime That it supposedly easier is a red herring and only proves your inept mental capabilities. The object is irrelevant, only the intent of the individual matters. If their intent is to kill, they will kill.

BTW gun ownership is at a higher point than it's been in this country in decades, according to Gallup. Violent crime is at an all time low has been declining for 30 years. your specious reasoning is hilarious

  • @bigboss686 fuck i thought i dealt with you.

    what cant u understand?

even if everyone was eeaaallly responsible, everyone being gigen a deadly weapon WILL increase the chances of somone being killed.

    of course the weappon matters!

r u seriously telling me that if everyones gun was replaced with a nuclear button, things would not be any more dangerous?

now stop trolling and go away and think about it its NOT HARD

    r u insane?

  • @natmanprime Nope, different guy, but don't worry you're still stupid. So it works out LOL

BTW lots of countries have had nuclear weapons for a great many years now, yet still no nuclear war.

Of course, since you have to make up observe these to hide the fact that there's actually no proof to show that hired guns means higher crime. I guess that's all you are really left with, sucks to be you

  • @bigboss686 1 all u idiots are the same to me

2 the nuclear button is in ONE PLACE not distributed amongst the people oh cripes u lot r crushingly stupid

  • @natmanprime Name-calling can be your only argument, because you're too weak to challenge me any other way.

  • @bigboss686 no i actually pointed out ur mistake look again

  • @natmanprime LOL you are so sad

  • @bigboss686 ...but still right

  • paul's fuckin annoying

  • Paul Rodriguez has no valid points. He only demonstrates how unstable and how out of control he would be if given a gun. No wonder he doesn't like guns. He probably thinks everyone thinks just like he does. Irate and irrational just like him. Just picture Paul having a gun........Oh the horror.

  • Rodriguez has a chip on his shoulder. He made no real points and made a fool of myself.

  • paul rodriguez, what a dumb dick head

  • who is the actor who said nothing?

  • @Xeper9911

Exactly!!! Same thing if said parent leaves alcohol, drugs and/or the car keys where Junior can get them; it's the fault of the parent - not the inanimate obeject: alcohol, drugs and/or the car keys.

Yet, any other time, it's the parent's fault...................

except when there's a firearm handy - then logic goes out the window.

    Courtesy of the Liberal Anti-gunners.

  • I dont care what color his skin is Paul Rodriguez is a complete moron and a bit of a jerk.

  • Mexico is absolute proof that strict gun laws do NOTHING.

The cartels are armed to the teeth but citizens are basically defenseless.

  • Ha, I never liked Joe Scarborough until this clip.

  • I have a Latin background, but damn Paul is a dumb ass. No wonder you never see his ass anymore.

  • What a dipshit. (the spanish speaking one)

  • It's good that the Flappy Mouthed Dumbass Beaner isn't around anymore.

Hopefully, the Sabado Gigante ripoff artist George Lopez will soon follow him into well deserved unfunny obscurity.

  • Play the race card. But ignorant of your own prejudice !! just love that !!

  • Why was Paul Rodriguez there, and why was Bill Maher so quiet?

  • paul rodriquez... what a dumbass!

  • You have to laugh at their silly predictions of "blood in the streets" from concealed carry. We know now, in 2011, that such crazy predictions never became reality.

  • Not hard to believe that in 2011 most people don't know who Paul Rodriguez is.Could it have something to do with insulting almost every region of America?

  • I live in Saskatchewan Canada. We have the highest homicide rate in Canada..zero with guns. So, I agree with the arguement that guns don't kill people..people kill people. That being said, I do appreciate the fact that, at least where I live, the only people with guns are cops and farmers and hunters. All I need to defend myself and my family is a phone to call police or a baseball bat. Our hunters use single shot rifles, we don't need assualt weapons. Guess we're a better shot!

  • John Stossel: "I was Totally Wrong About Guns"

Below the video is a link to Stossels view on guns.

  • I'm for legalizing drugs, so Maher has no traction with me, but drugs, unlike guns don't have the power to be used in a robbery. People can get their hands on drugs if they really want them legal or not, but I don't use drugs and I don't care, criminals can get their hands on assault weapons if they want them but I can't get them to defend myself against them.

  • "Bill Maher" is a synonym for "elitist douchebag"

  • Despite the fact that Bill Maher & his left-wing elite have the media, Hollywood, talk shows & a majority of the Democratic party more Americans then ever support gun rights. The Nazi liberals have for now lost ground in their attempt to disarm America.

  • mexico has strict gun laws.. i guess thats why they don't have any major gun problems. oh, wait...

  • Paul Rodriguez is an asswipe.

  • gun control is bullshit it doesnt stop criminals from geting guns it stops law abiding citazins from geting guns.

im mexican and i disagree with paul

  • Paul is a dick...what a fucking wetback. Ricky should have just told him guns are for shooting cans. mexiCANS

  • i know what a dead man's opinion is. and he says go fuck yourself bish

  • Man, rodriguez makes hispanics looks so bad.

  • @hivelocity100 Only if your a racist. When a white person acts like an asshole do you say "man (insert name here) makes white people look(or "looks so" as you put it) bad" ? No, you dont. So stfu, k?

  • @o0Mav0o No, I won't "stfu". I have the right to my opinion and state my opinions as much as I want. And actually, yes I would say the same about white people, as I would about asian (even though I am asian), you stupid fuck. You don't know me, so don't make assumptions.

  • Go ahead, make all guns illegal in the US and see what happens. Criminals everywhere would still have guns because they don't give a fuck about your laws, and all their victms are defenseless. Crime rates would skyrocket.

The top killers of children in the US are cars, drowning, burns, suffocation, other transportation, hit pedestrians, struck by objects(think baseball), falls and poisoning followed by firearms. Are we going to ban all the things that cause those accidents first before guns?

  • Paul Rodriguez contributes nothing. He is just yapping over the others who are trying to make valid points.

  • of course hispanics dont want us to have guns, so them and their criminal vattos can come and rob and kill us. NEVER.

  • We have a right to own guns but Rodriguez has the right to NOT own one. Bully for him but I'm keeping mine. He can just bitch and moan.

  • Gotta give Joe some credit. He took a stand

  • Paul Rodriguez is an asshole.

  • Man, Paul Rodriguez is one annoying fuck

  • You can't stop drugs, you can't stop guns. You can only teach your kids how you want them to deal with them and hope for the best. By the way, Guns Don't Kill People.

  • Guns aren't allowed in France and there is not as much criminality there as in the US...

  • @nath0208 Really? Are you sure? Or you think so because you live in a nice part of town?

  • @wonshot Yes i am sure of that, there are studies to prove it. I would not have told about it otherwise... Of course, France isn't exempt of criminality but very very few cases involve guns, and as a result a lot less pepole die in incidents.

  • @nath0208 France may be more evolved than the U.S. I can't say one way or the other. I do know if a criminal attacks you in the U.S. your on your own. In the last 20 years I have had to pull my gun two times to stop myself from being robbed and once to stop a guy from being stabbed on the street. I just don't see how disarming good people makes all of us safer. The horrific stabbings in China of school children Tells me you don't need guns to do bad things. Guns don't do bad things.

  • @wonshot I agree with you that guns don't do bad things on their own. I just believe it makes it easier for people to become violent, it creates a more violent atmosphere. If it is easy to access, wrong prople will have access to it also.... It is a vicious circle and i don't know how it is possible to end it. But perhaps it is just a different mindset, we don't have the death penalty either, and criminality hasn't grown since its abolition.

  • @nath0208 It is a vicious cycle, One that criminals lose in the end. I believe good people should have the right to defend themselves. I believe a country of armed people is BETTER than a country of subjects. "To be unarmed, among the other harms it brings you, causes you to be despised" N. Machiavelli.

  • @nath0208

People that do BAD things with guns or any other type of weopon should be delt with in a harsh and severe manner.

  • @wonshot we have one of the worst crime rates in the civilized world...guns are a major factor.. u make like your gun but it comes at a price.. like it or not.. as does everything

  • @dcderek24 Guns are a major factor, there is alot of crime in areas that don't allow concealed carry. Trained, sane people with guns can't stop every nut job out there that wants to do harm but it slows it down. Criminals look for weakness, the easy score. Mass shootings often happen in places it is illegal have a gun.

  • Guns are mechanical devices that don't have a brain and finger to shoot itself. If someone is shot, it's either because the person handling the gun was negligent or doing it on purpose for self-defense or murder.

  • Paul is making a fool of himself.

  • when you take the guns out of the homes, make sure you take all the knives with you, since you can stab someone with them, and seal off the windows, cause someone can fall out of those, and take away all the solid foods, since you can choke on those, and shut off the power, since you can get electrocuted, and when you take those away, make sure you dont forget free will, since people are so stupid and dont know what to do with it.

  • Paul Rodriguez tells it like it is, from a Hollywood elitist point of view! Hollywood thinks that way and it shows through their movies. Scarborough brings up an excellent point, you never hear how northerners were just as bad as southern DEMOCRATS. Notice how people automatically think republicans are racist. The south during jim crow was DEMOCRAT! Why do people think this way? it is the power of hollywood! they paint a picture and you believe it! the term sheeple applies here!

  • it dont matter if you leave a gun, a knife, or a plastic bag for that matter in the reach of a child. Their all dumb things to leave in their reach. A gun is an object just like everything else i mentioned. You need someone to use them to be effective A gun cant load and fire itself no more than a plastic bag can wrap itself around someones head by its self. If you dont like guns dont own one but i will be damned that someone is going to tell me i cant own one because they dont like em

  • Reminds me of a drill-instructor i once had... He was asking us, who could point at his weapon.

The first soldier pointed on his rifle.

the drill-instructor replied: wrong. you are the weapon. Your rifle is just the tool you use to achieve your goal. if it's necessary, you have to be able to use your hands as tools or anything that is avaliable at that moment. gun or spoon... both deadly if used right.

As bill maher says.. guns don't kill people. crazy people do.

  • Wow... Rodriguez will never see another penny of my money. Movies, Tv Shows whatever. What a racist POS.

  • At least he said sorry, thats what a real man should do after being a idiot..

  • Rodriguez=pwned!

  • That mexican guy needs to ya know. never talk again.

  • that youtube-user needs to learn the names of the people he's critisizing....

  • Paul Rodriguez is a ball-bag!

  • I love that a debate where one was logical, one just talked loud(Rodriguez), It was very gutless how he acted at that man started the slave trade, Rodriguez was just an angry guy, that wanted a target for his anger, Bill even had to side with the Republican. Good Debate

  • If a parent leaves a gun on the counter for a kid to obtain that is the fault of the parents' stupidity not the gun. Simple logic.

  • you should expect, that a person, pooring hot coffee over his own legs, is responsible for himself and must not sue mcdonalds for millions, causing every other customer to suffer from cold coffee for the rest of their lifes, just because one single person was to stupid to live...

  • @Xeper9911 "If a parent leaves a gun on the counter for a kid to obtain that is the fault of the parents' stupidity not the gun. Simple logic. "

If guns were illegal, stupid parents wouldn't be able to leave it on the counter for a kid to obtain. Simple logic.

  • @Xeper9911 Whether or not the parent is a total moron, the fact of the matter is, the child would not be hurt if the gun was not there.

  • @Xeper9911 in other words, we cannot regulate stupidity. rather stupidity is what regulates us...

  • @Xeper9911 if i ever have kids. i would introduce and train my kids at a young age in firearms safety/control and tactics. if you keep your kids in the dark about firearms they are more likely to misuse a firearm. if you teach your kids firearms responsibility at a young age they are more likely to use it for self defense.

  • Paul Rodriguez has absolutely no valid points. He just appeals to ridicule.

  • paul rodriguez got raped

  • Normally I'm a little weary of Joe Scarborough, but he made the best arguments of the evening.

  • Paul Rodriguez is not making any sense. His logic is ill fated and having him here, just diminishes the gun control argument.

  • That Paul Rodriguez is a fucking moron. Let people talk for Christ sake.

  • White people felt strongly about that issue of stereotyping you could tell the way the audience agreed with everything I thiink u guys should speak openly about this it only seems alot of the time when people are backed into a corner they say what they truly believe.

  • Oh my. Poor guy. I watched both parts of this and all I heard from the latino from Florida was:

" WAH! WAH! WAH! I was poor while growing up and you "white" Americans have all been priveleged. So don't you tell ME mister!"

    I have news mister!

    Dan

  • Paul Rodriguez made an ass of himself he had no business in that conversation

  • That chick thinks we need a license to carry a weapon... Guess we need licenses to speak freely, practice religion, etc... Its a right not a privilege.

  • Then i guess we should give guns to psychopaths, if its a right.

All rights have limitations. You have freedom of expression, but if to express yourself you need to burn down a convent, then you are stripped of that right and put in jail

  • That is why we have background checks... Obviously arson is a crime. It is also a crime to yell "bomb" in a crowded airport. It is a crime to commit murder. Given your logic, why deny my right to protect myself and family especially if I am a law abiding citizen? I already have to go through a background check and register a handgun. Or a background check to buy a long rifle. Why would I also need a license now to own my firearms?

  • well sorry I guess im not as well versed in the different kinds of guns as you. Hangun and firearm mean the same thing to me.

but honestly i dont see the difference, they both end up being used for killing people, or causing harm, so I think they should be registered. To use the logic that criminals wouldnt is flawed because if we stopped doing anything just because criminals did it we would all be criminals

  • There are 20,000 gun laws already in place. Maybe we should enforce the laws already on the books instead of writing more that obviously do nothing, but effect the law abiding. Do you honestly believe that a criminal that is illegally in possession of a firearm is going to obey a law that says you must register your firearm? Firearms in the hands of criminals will be used for killing people, but victims will be fewer when citizens protect themselves with firearms.

  • explain to me why that should be a right? how do you equate the freedom to speak freely with owning a gun? that's ridiculous. and like the woman said, if you need a license to drive a car you should need a license to own a gun. by your logic, how the fuck is driving a car not a "right?" Everyone in the world drives a car every day and you still need a license. Why? because driving is DANGEROUS and demands RESPONSIBILITY!

  • Google the US Constitution and pay special attention to the 2nd Amendment. Take a loo at the rest of the Constitution and let me know if you see anything regarding a right to transportation.

  • Comment removed

  • crayyawn "we're talking about logic here not the will of an ancient document"

I'm surprised you would say that the US Constitution is just an ancient document. The Constitution is the supreme law of the land. This whole country was built upon it. Without the second amendment it means nothing. Your rights, freedoms, liberties mean nothing without the 2A. I agree fully that gun ownership requires responsibility. Explain how licensing driving has curbed drunk driving or street racing?

  • it is just an ancient document, and we americans hold it way too sacredly. i don't think the rights outlined in the constitution are your true, natural rights as a human being, they are simply the rights people a few hundreds years ago decided to give you, not that these people are evil, or malicious or anything, i just mean that their judgment cannot be held so sacredly that people like yourself can claim that a terribly dangerous thing like owning a gun is your natural born right.

  • To answer your question, yes there are still many problems with drivers even after they are licensed , but i think putting the car (or gun) as far away as possible is the key. for instance, because of licensing, there are millions of drunken or irresponsible kids that won't drive simply because they don't have a license. i think the same logic rings true for gun ownership.

  • I'm amazed at how far from reality you are. The Constitution secures the rights to self defense, speech, religion. It tells the Govt what it can and cannot do to the citizens. Have you ever read the Constitution? I really think you don't realize what you are saying. I have a hard time believing that because of licensing it has had any effect on drunk or reckless driving. Guess all of the people who have had their licenses revoked due to multiple DUI's and then get caught driving after the

  • fact didn't really get arrested. It must have never happened because in your world they wouldn't have done it in the first place. I've known people that had their licenses taken away and street race afterwards. Bad people will do bad things regardless or restriction or law. Back to the Constitution. It declares that we are all equal, and that we are defined by rights that we are born with, not given to us by government.

  • I challenge you to do some research. Look up the United States Constitution on Wikipedia. Read the information given. Then search for the video series here on Youtube titled: Innocents Betrayed - Gun Control History (Start with part 1).

  • I have to add one more side note to the whole firearm licensing idea. Do you realize how much it would cost to set up a licensing system, database, facilities, and staffing? And this would still do NOTHING to curb any gun violence, just cost more tax money. Just another feel good law.

  • Paul don't give a shit what you think!!!!

  • Paul Rodriguez was being an idiot but he was just trying to be funny; I believe. I really like JoeScar.

  • LOL when Joe and Bill called out Paul on his playing the race card.

  • Go Joe!

  • Paul Rodriguez

Mustn't have been drunk or something, just brag right in here thinking he owns the place.

Good in the part of Joe Scarborough, for stepping up the plate and shutting this man up.

I'm a hispanic-american and both Dee Dee and Paul doesn't know what the hell they are talking about

  • i totally agree with the republicans on this one and i hate far far left liberals like this fucking cunt and spick but i am glad obama won, do not like bush, would not be a republican, lost respect for mccain, never liked palin

  • well, i agree with your assessment on this, though not a fan of the sexist/racial profanity:)

  • joe scarborough freakin rules!!!

  • Neither side is backing up their arguements with facts. They're all idiots. I could go on there and get everybody to love guns. before some jackass responds to this; yes, this is an exaggeration, but I could put up a compelling arguement.

  • The 2nd Ammendment was written in a time when there was no standing army and no police forces. People needed guns to protect themselves. Shit, it was 1793!! There were only militias, hence the phrase "well-regulated militia." A half-retarded redneck who spends his paycheck at Wal-Mart buying a gun only to have it stolen out of his trailer and used later in a robbery/homicide does not constitute a well-regulated militia. That any dumbass can have a gun in this country is amazing to me.

  • People should be dependent and be able to defend themselves. If someone is breaking into your home would you rather call the cops and pray, or call the cops and ready your weapon?

That weapon doesn't have to be a gun, it could be a knife, or a brick, or a bat, but the gun could be more effective.

Not everyone in this country wants to rely on police and government to defend themselves.

  • For every justifiable homicide shooting, there are 50 accidental shootings in the United States. Until that ratio flips (which it never will), gun control should be much more far-reaching. It's really a no-brainer.

  • This is not an accurate statistic. Besides, even if it was, it doesn't take into account the crimes which are prevented with only the THREAT of a gun.

  • Guns are used in over two million cases per year in self defense. In these cases, however, the gun is rarely used to kill a person, in fact, it is rarely even fired. The presence of a firearm changes a victim into an equal. A lion might attack and kill an antelope, but he sure isn't going to be hunting full grown lion for his supper. Criminals are the same way; they prey on those who are defenseless.

  • Even though the 2nd Amendment may have been intended solely to arm militias, it specifically says: "...the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." That is a very clear statement. It does not matter WHY the Founders put it there, only that it is there. As long as the Second Amendment remains in the Constitution, I have a right to own any firearm I choose for any non-criminal purpose I choose, and no act of government nor your personal opinion will dissuade me.

  • OK genius. If the second amendment justifies armament of the militia, it would have been proposed as an amendment to article 1 sec. 8, right? It wasn't, Madison proposed it as an amendment to article 1 sec. 9; keeping INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS free from bills of retainder and ex post facto clauses. The 2nd amendment guarantees an individual right, independent of the militia; hence the separation of the two clauses. And in 1793 there were tons of militias. Read some Locke, Blackstone, TJ, and Washington.

  • Everyone on this panel is a complete moron. Paul Rodriguez being extra annoying.

  • Rednecks are typically southerners. I am in fact a Yankee who grew up in the outskirts of the city. I find it funny ignorant democrats claim anyone who disagrees with there elitist views is a redneck. You say redneck I say constitutionalists. Democrats stand for enslavement as do republicans. They work together. I believe in individual freedom. I believe in some things democrats believe in as I do with some republicans, but I dont fit into either category.

  • I find it funny that you call anyone that doesn't agree with your point of view an elitist. I'm pro gun but I certainly don't agree with you or Scarborough. At least not what he says in Part Two. That's nothing but a bunch of rhetoric spewed by extremists that can't come up with an intelligent counterargument.

  • All I have to say is look at the laws they try to get through congress and some of the laws on the books and you will see how they work for there benefits and not the American peoples anymore.

  • Oh yeah? Which laws would that be? I think if you knew the facts you would be very damn surprised at who is trying to take shit away from you or use it for their own benefit. More often than not it's not Democrats. Take a look at the congressional voting record on warrantless wiretapping and NAFTA. The Republicans that supported those far outnumbered the Democrats.

  • Oh NAFTA which Clinton (Democrate) signed into effect. The wiretapping I agree was a problem for us by the republicans but the Democrates have signed into law policies that go against our freedoms more than Republicans and as I said in my first statment they now work together which is again a problem.

  • Look up NAFTA. Clinton did sign a revised version with addendums that were supposed to protect American workers but didn't. The original NAFTA was signed by Bush's daddy. In fact, you can find pics of the signing ceremony all over the net. It was preceded by the Canandian free trade agreement that was pushed by Republicans as well. Then you have the Central American Free Trade Agreement. Also the Republicans baby. Similiar trade agreements were also pushed through by them in Asia.

  • As I said they work together. If you did not know the Bush's and Clinton's have been friends for years. Democrat and Republican many are the same as the other. Just like Giuliani who was a democrat until 1989 when he suddenly changed party's. They are all working together. There are very few that work for the American people anymore.

  • "In 1975, Giuliani switched his party registration from Democratic to Independent"

Wrong on the Giuliani thing. Happened right around the time Democrats from the south started switching to the Republican party.

You're also wrong about the friendship between the Bush's and Clintons. Bill Clinton and Bush Sr. raising money for charity together doesn't equal a longtime friendship. Hillary and Bill both attacked Bush Jr. relentlessly. Do the math. Doesn't add up.

  • Then in 1989 he switched to Republican. Just as was many other Democrats. Shows again they got it to the point democrats and republicans work together. I was no wrong just forgot about him switching to independent first. His political beliefs are still modeled from the democratic party. There have been many pictures of them on vacation together. You may not want to believe it but there is proof of there friendship.

  • Just because the Clinton's disagree with some of Bush Jr's actions does not mean they are not friends. I disagree with some of what my friends do.

  • You're really reaching now. The Clintons have never done anything but attack Bush Jr. Again, you're stating things without being able to support them. Logic would tell anyone that there's no love between those two families.

  • I have seen the photos of them walking the beach together so think what makes you feel comfortable.

  • You don't have to be from the south or be out in the country to be a redneck. A redneck is someone that lives a certain lifestyle with particular beliefs. A constitutionalist would never say half the things that you have said so I'm inclined to believe that you're a redneck as well. I grew up with enough of them to recognize one when I see it. If you'd back up something you said with facts then maybe people would see you differently.

  • If you met me you would see that I am not a redneck. They cannot stand me because I represent many things they are against. Call me what you wish I find humor in your ignorance about me. If you read the Constitution and read the laws democrats and republicans push for you would see how I can say they work together.

  • It's not ignorance on my part. It's the fact that you're denying it while every statement you've made indicates exactly that. Sounds a lot more like you're in denial of acknowledging that than anyone's misperceptions.

  • It is your ignorance. Most of my beliefs do not fit into the redneck lifestyle. How they act what they believe how they dress. It is more than political beliefs.

  • They most certainly do. If you don't like the title then stop acting like one.

  • You do not know most of my beliefs. You know that I am a gun owner who feels that most democrats are against firearm ownership. That is in correlation to rednecks yet you dont know what my religious views are. Most of my other views from all other parts of life are not what a redneck agrees with. I have no problem with the term and you can call me what you wish. Simple fact is because of how I am most rednecks hate me.

  • Look at Obama and his Global Poverty Act and how it works against the American peoples best interest. It forces us to act upon the UN's Millennium Agenda which undermines our constitutional rights. Saying democrats dont go against our rights is just like saying republicans are not oil dwellers. I hold no party ties but fact is the Democrats hate our firearm rights and that is what this video was about.

  • Name the parts that do that. Quote them. I'm just asking you to be specific and you can't because you apparently don't know. If you think that asking you to clear a security check to own a gun is trying to take your firearms away then you're an extremist. Plain and simple. That's all I've seen the dems try to do. Frankly, if you feel you need to own a machine gun then you're too mentally unstable to own a gun of any kind to begin with. I say that as a REASONABLE gun owner.

  • Diane Feinstein Democrat from California said and I quote "If I could have gotten 51 votes in the Senate of the United States for an outright ban, picking up every one of them -- Mr. and Mrs. America, turn them all in -- I would have done it."

John Edwards said when asked if gun ownership was a right or privilege he said it was a privilege.

A privilege can be taken by a government a right cannot.

Obama is against the sale and possession of semi automatic firearms.

  • Okay, and in just ten seconds I provided you with a longer list of Republicans that have voted for the very same things. You're telling me that the Democrats are the ones leading the charge on this. Clearly, you have not done your research. Republicans have been every bit as guilty. You're not doing well proving your point here.

  • You gave me no list of any Republicans against firearms, but I do know there are some. Fact is however most gun control laws have been proposed and supported predominantly by democrats. That is a fact. Go to govtrack and you look up gun control laws. Next to almost every cosponsor you will see a (D) next to there name.

  • I told you to read the Global poverty act and see what it does that is specific.

  • Tell me what I need to read. If you read it you'd be able to tell me and specify exactly where your constitutional rights would be violated.

  • I already told you yet you refuse to see it. GLOBAL POVERTY ACT. See where it forces us to implement and take part in the UN's Millennium Agenda and read that. It is simple. Why is it you refuse to look for yoruself?

  • Because you're saying you know this. I

m sure there's tons of pages there. If you knew what you were talking about you'd be able to tell me exactly what is in there that leads you to believe this. What's going on here is that somebody told you this and you believed it without looking.

  • There are a lot of pages and it takes time to read and understand. I know what I am talking about but it is your responsibility as an American to look up the laws that will effect your life yourself. It is not my job to inform you. I could really care less about proving anything to you one way or the other. You have your views and like most you will not budge on them.

  • In other words you don't know. The burden of proof is on you here. You brought it up now tell me what it is I need to see in there so I know where to start. I don't need to read the whole thing. Just the part you're talking about. What part is that?

  • I have read the Global Poverty Act and have read the Millennium Agenda. I read up on govtrack every night different bills in office and what they lead to. Nobody told me about these I found them on my own. Simply put I feel I had to look for them and if you want to know about them you should do the same. Why should I allow you to cut corners. To many Americans are unwilling to look for something themselves. I will not support those feelings. If you want to know go look.

  • I agree you want to know DO YOUR HOMEWORK!

  • I have already done my homework that is why I am 100% against Obama and his Anti-American policies.

  • Sorry I am not a redneck. They actually dislike me. I dont really fit into any label. Kind of an outcast to all. My point is however that that elitist bitch will not be in office. We need to ONLY embrace and accept a president that is a constitutionalists. The problem is most in the American society refuse to realize that most of our politicians take an oath to protect the constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic then attack it themselves.

  • Joe is so right(correct). I was surprised to see Maher stand up for him, because he's guilty of using those stereotypes himself.

  • Paul Rodriguez is hilarious! =D

Reminds me of a lot of folks back home, except he actually apologizes at the end there, which was very nice. I know a lot of my friends don't apologize for jack, lol. I think it's just part of our culture.

  • Hilarious? He showed himself to be quite an idiot here. He should stick to comedy and leave political discussion to people who are actually able to offer input. All he did was continually interrupt with lame jokes. Schroeder was an idiot, too, but at least he kept his mouth shut when he didn't have something worthwhile to say.

  • I don't see how he showed himself to be an idiot. He did have a valid point with the scenario of a little kid hurting themselves or someone else.

Of course, that's why proper gun education is important. So that such accidents are prevented.

  • Rodriguez did have a point, but the same logic can be extended to any car driver, any pilot, any nuclear power station technician, any surgeon, any number of people in a given situation. Just because someone has the opportunity to get wasted and blow someone away doesn't mean they will. Rodriguez came across in an extremely unflatering way, diplaying a certain lack of understanding of how to present onself.

I do however agree with your point that gun safety has to be drilled into gun owners.

  • Wow, lots of breaks.
