Ya got me there! shoulda said "its easier to tool & bore castings inline than a V, makes them more complicated & expensive". Riding 20 yrs, ride every day, Qualified engineer 18 yrs, ride instructor for 2, had 12 bikes, Major or part rebuild 7 of them-have hand made prescision parts for 'em. ridden round >14 countries, visited the IOM TT, Manx GP, Bol d'or 24hrs, >50 rallies & other major races in Europe. Done numerous track days - hey but who's scoring, I just love it. Safe riding dude.
You are the sad wanker: Let's go back to when I just said I like in-line 4's better and you had to open your mouth. I just read an article and they said the new land speed record is held by a Suzuki, Hayabusa clocked at 320 KM/H and it is an in-line 4, how do you like that, ha ha ha !!! I also phoned 3 dealerships (a Honda dealer) a Yamaha dealer and a Kawasaki dealer and they all said that in-lines have better performance. The Honda dealer also said a CBR will blow the tires off a VFR. lol. Bye
If you were more stupid you'd need to be watered twice a week. 320 Km/h is little more than the fastest EVER recorded Moto GP bike, a Ducati with a V engine. The land speed record is 342.797 MPH powered by 2 turboed Hayabusa motors, One wasn't enough. If inline motors are so superior how did Honda win the Moto GP championship with the V5 they have been running for 3 years? Coz they can afford it. In lines are cheaper the only reason there's more. Get used to it, it's a fact.
Geez, I hope all Australians aren't as dumb as you. Remember one thing, you started this since you are an idiot. Two engines don't give more speed just more power because they are limited by the transmision. Sometimes simpler is better, fool. Get yourself a CBR to see the difference. V's also sound like shit, like an oversized minibike, lol.
You actually rang round dealers asking 'em how fast they go LOL! "hey mister, how fast does it go?" RAOTFLMAO! "will a 160Hp GSXR beat a 100Hp VFR -- Jesus Christ, stoppit you're killin me!
You haven't even got a bike have you? Your not old enough.
I called around to make sure I was right unlike you. Oh I have a bike beleive me and i am older than you I bet. My first gear at redline goes 110 KM/H and there are six gears, figure it out, lmfao.
The World's biggest journal MCN voted the VFR "Best motorcycle of all time". YOUR claims were of In-line's being inherently superior, there is NO evidence of this. Premiere World racing classes have been dominated by V engines for years. The most powerful & fastest accelerating engines on the planet are V's. In-lines are common because they are cheap, more common but they still finish Races & Championships behind the V's for reasons only you understand. Silly boy!
You are sounding like a broken record, repeating yourself. All you do is make up facts because you are a blind and dumb V-engine lover. You probably stick your dick in the tailpipe to have fun. You must be really bored with life. Go bug someone else.
Your claims have been totally 'owned' as you Americans like to put it, not by me but by the cutting edge of motor sport. Not just bikes but cars too. Unable to come up with any intelligent reply you resort to sexual innuendo. Your expertise about 'dicks', 'tailpipes' and their interaction most likely comes from extensive personal experience, so in this subject as well as being 'silly' you have me beat.
Please go see a psychologist for you are obviously just looking to argue. I have been reading your comments on other videos and you don't have anything nice to say. I was just making a hypothetical about tailpipes since you love V's blindly. Like as though you said anything resembling intelligeance. You just state unfounded claims. You also have no idea where I am from, but I know where you are. The reason why you keep writing is because I have won every time so far, maybe someday you will win.
We agree on something! Your description of the Canadian Rugby Team, from what I've seen they should definitely go play football instead -- tights, body armor & helmets, its far safer than playing a real game.
That's not agreeing dumby. A rugby player could not play a real game called Football because they weigh 1/3 of a football player and they have arms like toothpicks. Rugby players are fag boys in comparison.
Here we go again, more sexual reference, next you'll be spilling your guts again about what you do with your 'dick' & 'Tailpipe'. Bet your neighbours sleep with the light on. BTW No-one outside of America cares about American 'Football' except the Canadian lap-dogs next door.
I think I hit a nerve, you must really know your tailpipe personally since you took offence and keep bringing it up. Footbal is known more than brit only Rugby. It's not even played here. Like Australians are known for anything except ex-criminals.
Wrong again, Go to the IRB Website. Canada is playing at the Rugby World Cup in France in 6 months time. Rugby is a true international sport, viewing figures second only to the Olympics and Soccer world cup. American Football rates no-where for worldwide audience, probably because it is crap. Totally agree about Australians.
Foundation for my claims at wikipedia under 'List of Grand Prix motorcycle racing World Champions' In the last 20 years V's have won 18 Moto GP championships. These results are FACTS they refute your claims. I can provide more from other motor-sports; all you can provide are insults. You have 'won' this argument as many times as Kawasaki have won Moto GP, big fat ZERO. You need to learn how to posit a hypothetical & how to spell 'intelligence'.
No-one said you had a Kawasaki, you're paranoid. It's a good example of how unsuccessful In-lines are, of the biggest 4 they are the only manufacturer who hasn't won a championship in 25 yrs. Co-incidentally they only race In-lines. Now you call me a liar in the face of irrefutable evidence, well - put up or shut up. It's starting to sound obvious where all this talk of 'dicks' 'tailpipes' & psychiatrists comes from.
LOL? Kawasaki (like you) have won bugger all here too - In 19 years of Superbike racing they have won once! They have only won 1 race since then! you should get a capital 'L' tattooed on your forehead. BTW no-one has raced 500's for 4 years another insight into your 'knowledge'.
Your knowledge is not up to par. You say no one raced 500cc for 4 years, 2006: Nicky Hayden 500cc Honda, 2001-2005 Valentino Rossi 500cc Yamaha. Let's count the years Yamaha beat the crap out of Honda. How dumb can you get.
If you really think that Hayden's RC211V has a 500cc engine, then the answer is - not much dumber than you. When the FIM changed the rules for 2002 everyone except KR Proton went to 990cc four strokes. Hayden's 2006 championship winning bike was an RC211V. A 990cc V5. The same bike Rossi won 3 championships on, he only won 2 on the Yamaha.
Yes it is, that is where I cut and pasted it from. Anyone with the vaguest interest in motorcycle engine development and performance knows these 4 year old facts.
Grow up child. You started the insults, idiot. Oooh let's pick on a typo, let's see who needs to learn how to spell "posit", lol. Who said I have a Kawasaki, not me, but they are still better than a Honda VFR. One more thing, I checked out the website you offered, and keep in mind Kawasaki doesn't make a 500cc engine that is why they are not listed, fool.
'Posit', verb & noun, is made on the assumption that it will prove valid - unlike your assertions & spelling. 500's do not race any more, Kawasaki have been racing GP since 2002 they are not listed because they haven't won anything. Like you bonehead. You just went to school to eat lunch eh?
You 'posit' a hypothetical because it is made as a 'basis' for reasoning, it is supposed but not necessarily true. So using unrelated 'facts' is entirely possible hypothetically. You should go and buy dictionary .
Its a verb and a noun, its in the Oxford English Dictionary for god's sake! Being caught is bad enough but you try to defend it by denying facts - what a dickhead!
You have been totally humiliated on your knowledge of Motorcycle Performance and the English Language, you reached rock bottom and kept digging - keep going you'll soon be in Australia.
Just shut up you imbecile. You humiliated yourself from the beginning of this arguement and onward. You are already there in Australia so you beat me at something finally.
Do we have any advance on New Zealand while we are groping round the Pacific? New Caledonia? The Cook Islands? Fiji? Tonga? Samoa? Hiding from you wouldn't be that hard would it sparky?
Yeah yeah - Back to the origional argument, yesterday a Ducati V4 won the Turkish Moto GP ridden by an AUSTRALIAN who now leads the championship. Also fastest bike & fastest lap. How can that be when inlines are soooooo superior?
Hey you moron, you certainly aren't a genius, they are not car races. You should learn how to read the website you mentioned. As though Yamaha or Ducati make cars at all. Please get something right once in your useless life.
Ok so there is no world class race series of any kind called GP-1. There is the A1-GP and the F1-GP but they are cars too. GP-2 is definitely a car race - go on Google it! gp2series dot com. CAR RACING!
I said GP because the wiz kid you are called it GP before. Lesson 1: learn to read. It is actually FP-1, FP-2, FP-3 and QC. When you refer to a website get your facts correct.
Waaaa hahahahahahaha! You farkin cabbage! FP stands for Final Practice - You didn't even notice you were quoting results from different days! - Just when I thought it couldn't get any better.
You were given the address for the homepage, nothing else - you plainly need special help with anything more complicated than breathing. You would argue with a signpost, now you are a boring fish. Thanks for the laugh.
And he was also riding against a lot of allegedly more powerful 4's and whooped 'em, Even at power hungry tracks like Monza.
You can deny cost has got anything to do with configuration if you want, but V's are more expensive. Simple engineering, they are more complicated, boring 4 holes in a line is harder than setting them at angles. but V's are more compact and have more controlable power delivery & balance.
Please talk when you know more. I have been driving bikes for more than 30 years and have had 7 bikes, how many have you had and how many years? You also contradicted yourself by saying they are more complicated and then saying 4 holes in a line are harder", but you know it all right?
Ya got me there! shoulda said "its easier to tool & bore castings inline than a V, makes them more complicated & expensive". Riding 20 yrs, ride every day, Qualified engineer 18 yrs, ride instructor for 2, had 12 bikes, Major or part rebuild 7 of them-have hand made prescision parts for 'em. ridden round >14 countries, visited the IOM TT, Manx GP, Bol d'or 24hrs, >50 rallies & other major races in Europe. Done numerous track days - hey but who's scoring, I just love it. Safe riding dude.
The ONLY reason more powerful inlines exist is because they are cheaper. Nothing dictates them being more powerful.
What was troy Bayliss Riding when he won the WSB championship ? The most successful moto GP engines were V4 strokers. The most powerful, fastest piston engines on the planet are V's. Response time? the Fastest 1/4 mile 4.42 secs is V powered - youre mad!
If v-engines are so fast than why are 95% of sportbikes in-line and it's not because they are cheaper, they are desired for performance. I said V's can be fast but not in acceleration from a stop position in comparision with in-lines. I also meant rev response time not speed. V's also have the tendence to twist under the pressure from acceleration. Watch a v-8 in a car twist when you give it gas. Harleys are v's and slow. You need more facts so I'm not the mad one.
Mate you've been down-trou'd. NO drag racing record held by an inline. The fastest accelerating vehicle on the planet is a V, how can this be true if what you're saying is right? The most sucessful racing bike engines EVER are V's in SBK & MotoGP - Burt Munro, John Britten, how many facts do you need? Denying facts is the first sign of madness - how bout you actually come up with some?
I did come up with facts, you are just making up facts as you want to see them. You must be blind, deaf and dumb because you are not reading what I wrote, I said v's are fast and agree that the land speed record is by a v-engine but your facts are mixed up because they are not talking fast in acceleration. Speed is only one part of performance.
Now you are calling me a liar! Jeees! No other engine in WSB has been more successful, its a fact !!!
No other engine accelerates faster than a top fuel dragster, another V its a fact!! They make 1000hp per cylinder, more than any inline on the planet! The V strokers in moto GP won more races than any other layout yet, its a fact!
Wow, you really don't know engines! An in-line engine puts out a lot more horse power and response time than a V-engine. You should pick up a copy of a motorcycle magazine someday and read up on engine types. V-engines can go fast but for overall performance you need an in-line engine. Maybe you should just get yourself a Harley if you like V-engines so much. Sorry but true.

Great slideshow! What are the last pictures? Did you have to replace the engine?
I have less than 20,000kms on mine, maybe it'll get to be as old as yours!
Viel Spass!!

I had at 120.000km a gearbox/transmission problem and i replaced the gears. The engine is still the first.

Harleys are a joke & a bad one at that.

There are better bikes out there.

notice ya didnt name one lol

Anything without a V engine, I like in-line 4 cyclinder engines better.

Only thing that beats a V4 is a V twin, haven't you been watching World Superbikes? Inline fours suck - boring whiny - (VFR owner) :-)
