Zapuder was niave. They took the film away from him before he could full understand the gravity of what he actually taped. The film was eventually altered to support the governments position. The driver clearly fired the final mortal round.

@Squeekicleave Think about where he was shot, just before the bridge, where the least amount of people were. Most were standing where they could see him come and go. The actual shot took less than a second, at that distance who would have seen him shoot with complete assurance of what they saw.

You have to wonder how Dan Rather, who managed to consistently get every fact wrong in his many reports, ended up garnering so much network attention while Jay Watson, who first broke the news and then got witness after witness into the studio for fascinating interviews got no attention.

he is on record saying that he hurried home to get his camera and came back just in time to video the assassination.

But here is more than the assassination on that same role of film before the motorcade.

He was also known to belong to 2 CIA organizations in Dallas.

no secret service agent was shot. dallas police officer j.d. tippet was shot and killed about 40 minutes later in another part of town.

here's an interesting thing about that. tippet was seen sitting in his patrol car at the houston st viaduct spanning the trinity river. he waited there and then about 1pm suddenly sped off and made a frantic phone call (he literally pushed people out of his way). no answer. upset he sped off and died 5 minutes later.

I said it. I believe that Tippit's actions pointed him to being complicit in the crime. I believe that his posting himself where he did (at the viaduct where the sewer emerges) when he had no orders to do so, then waiting there, then suddenly speeding off to the Top 10 records store, pushing people out of the way to get to the phone, dialing a number, receiving no answer and angrily storming off, and 5 minutes later turning up dead point to him being involved.

was tippit assigned to kill the assassin as he emerged from the sewer system at the viaduct? (the sewer along elm street where jfk was shot runs to that exact location - the viaduct at the trinity river). an assassin could have made the shot from there and calmly walked away.

tippit was almost certainly dirty. the assassin most likely avoided tippet and when tippet finally caught up to him killed tippet instead of the other way around.

that assassin was NOT LHO.

From the looks of Abraham Zapruder's film it looks as though the final shot came from the front. I would say closely to the right from Zapruder, well that's my opinion in the way i saw it.And the shot had to come from the front reason why they gave fake autopsies saying it came from the back to convince the unwise to believe it was only one person in the assassination.Harvey Lee Oswald i believe their were more persons,this thing was definitely a conspiracy.

@ladiesman70 Modern computer software was used to heighten the detail of the film, and the vector of the fatal shot was from the sewer to Kennedy's right. A six foot man can stand upright in that sewer and walk out to the river underground after perpetratoring the fatal shot.

@nerangulo The seven people who liked your comment clearly don't know the full story: He was being steadied by an assistant. When you see an incident like that, you get a bit freaked out, so he just carried on doing what he was doing as a kind of emotional response. No, Zapruder did not shoot Kennedy, and yes, the shots did come from the Texas Book Depository, fired by Lee Harvey Oswald, who was angry he couldn't get into Cuba. No stupid Secret Service plot. Just petty revenge.

@nerangulo He didn't hold it calmly. Dr. Luis Alvarez measured the camera jitter throughout the film and considered the sudden increases to be evidence of shots at frames 177, 215, and 313 (and at no other times).

@TylerTKE The police officer who was shot was J. D. Tippit. He stopped Oswald for questioning about 45 minutes after the assassination, and Oswald killed him. I've never heard of a Secret Service agent being shot that day; maybe there was some confusion about whether Tippit was a police officer or a Secret Service agent.

Two shots account for all of Kennedy and Connally's wounds. If the first shot was fired at Z-160, it was 8.4 seconds, and the timing has been recreated (and beaten) many times.
