i don' beleave that Gobal Warming is happening either. And not once has my pastor told me that. Christian churches actually aren't allowed to talk about politics or any thing like that. I don't beleave in it because: 1. the lack of proof that it is happening 2. the Bible says that man can't destroy the earth 3. do you remember when somone hacked some so called "scientist" email and saw that they said that they have no proof and that they had been lying to cover up the fact that they are wrong.

@biblemans You sir, are a fraud of a person. I do not care how much faith you have, as I have once been a person of intense faith. So I understand devotion to God, to the Bible, to life. I am thankful to be here, but what proof do you have disproving the fact that every day you drive or use electricity, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide is released into the atmosphere. That is science, not bible, not judgement. When those gases are released, they capture light and energy.

@kingfarouk2 This is bad for many reasons. More sunlight means more evaporation of water, which results in more rainfall, especially in regions where we grow our food (equator.) More rainfall means more erosion, pollution, and higher seas. The growth of heat (which is happening) is also distorting trade winds. So please, educate yourself. as one of jehovah's witnesses i would like to let you know that we do believe in global warming, but as the scripture that was read to your wife said, god made the world to last for time indefinite. If you are familiar with the lords prayer you know that christians pray for gods kingdom to come on earth as in heaven. Gods kingdom is the solution for all mans problems, including global warming. In short, jw's believe global warming is real, but that God will not allow it to destroy the earth.

Most scientist around the world agree that man has contributed to global warming. As far as a cool summer, you can't judge a trend over one season, you must look at the data from the last 40 to 30 years. i.e. Ocean warming as well as the acidity in the ocean etc. I have never scene an inconvenient truth, but I would trust him more then this nut trying to lead us into a third war against Iran.

Yes, it is. The consensus about anthropogenic global warming among climatologists and metereologists is, simply put, overwhelming.

It is a scientific FACT that large ammounts of greenhouse gases contribute to the warming of the earth, and it is a scientific FACT that humans release a whole lot of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. Draw your own conclusions.

Try looking into what the head Climate Professor at MIT has to say on the subject of carbon and its role in warming of the earth! The fact is that the evidence shows that throughout the history of the Earth when ever carbon levels were up it got COLDER!

Ok, its as simple as taking a look at the graph that shows the relation between global temperature and carbon levels over millions of years. do a search on Google. they take samples from Antarctica where there are air bubbles trapped in the ice which was frozen millions and millions of years ago..

There is more evidence to prove that global heat rises create more carbon, than saying that carbon causes heat. Please, do research before stating your opinions as "FACT.

The FACT is called the greenhouse effect: Greenhouse gases are opaque to infrared radiation (well, that's a simplification, of course), thus trapping heat below. You can repeat this effect in a fucking EXPERIMENT.

Furthermore, the ice core data (which only goes back about 300,000 years, but never mind that) shows that temperatures rise *after* co2 levels.

ok you have a few things mixed up. the ice core data from ANTARCTICA (i say again: ANTARCTICA) go back millions of years, in all of the ice core testing, carbon dioxide levels rise as a result/product of a heat rise. and guess what? the world is globally warming. but not as a result of humans, it has been heating and cooling itself for billion (yes, billions) of years. you cant just say that your going to change a fixed cycle. human caused GW is bullshit.

The oldest antarctic ice core goes back about 700,000 years, but I fail to see the relevance. *Of course* the climate has changed (and often quite drasticaly so) over the course of the earth's history - but again, this is only relevant insofar as that we know some of the circumstances and correlations associated with the numerous warming and cooling periods.

Face it: All the data we have points in one direction - the Greenhouse Effect.

And it isn't a new thing, either: At least two of the 7 major extinction events are hot contenders for the Clathrate gun hypothesis, i.e. a runaway greenhouse effect caused by the massive and rapid release of methan from the ocean seabeds into the atmosphere.

It has happened before, and it is happening again. That's science.

I have studied the research of scientists for years before coming to this conclusion - and NOT JUST the scientists who have a social agenda and/or a financial stake. I have some issues with the BILLIONS you mention, but that is not necessary for me to agree with the principals you understand with respect to the ice core data which has been revealed.
