This is the full original studio version as originally released......take it from someone who bought the vinyl AND 8 Track of all the Foghat albums so I could listen to it in my car and on the big rig at home. 8 minutes must have been the "disco" version on the pirate stations.

No, it's not. I'm looking at the vinyl (which is a first press) I've got right now and the length is 5:11, not 4:32. Maybe you should look a little closer on your vinyl's label before you showing your ignorance.

@jfkcomspiracyfact...The intro in the beginning is cut.......I was wrong on the time, it's not 8 minutes long but it's not the "studio" version either. The song is cut at 2:43 also.

@455Transam According to my "Night Shift" CD its time is listed as 5:15. I didn't even know an 8 minute version of "Drivin' Wheel" even existed. I'm not even sure a 12" 8 min radio version was ever made. It's not listed in the price guide of American vinyl albums from 1950 to 1975.

@bucky468 I meant to type about 6 minutes, but you're right it's just over 5 minutes long.......that's 45 seconds longer than the version here. They cut out some guitar solo from the begining of the song AND in the middle. This shorter version might be the "45" version.
