Smart chick. She actually is very informed about the Hip Hop culture. I must say i agree with her if you look at the larger picture. Obama is president today, thanks to the hip hop generation. Hip Hop is why race just wasn't an issue in that election.

@sure104 If you listen properly, you will see the Miss in the video is giving a scholarly interpretation on the issue of hiphop founders. She's not being bitchy, rather, saying she has gotten in trouble by those who feel hiphop was not 'founded' by a few 'pioneers', but by a community effort between those pioneers and the ones who listen to them and make them into huge stars. Remember, a hiphop artist is nothing without his audience...

@sure104 ...so instead of throwing four letter words, YOU go back to basics. Hiphop did not start in the Bronx, it started way back before that, way before SugaHill Gang, back into the days of the Griots of West Africa. Then these griot traditional went through the 3rd passage during slave trade, ending up with Kool DJ Herc, a Jamaican immigrant, together with Bambaata & Flash coming up with a more modern version. Do your homework before bashing someone who know more than you about this ish
