ive never read the whole thing, but a teacher at my church has. and check it-he's an actual 'rocket' scientist. he's a head-something at JPL. so he's not illiterate. he knows when things look confusing in the Bible, he just also knows how to make sense of them

we pray to Him, ask Him for help, but we don't force Him to do things for us.

I thought you guys already had that issue covered with the whole "free will" thing. in fact, that's how you justify every evil thing god does or lets happen.

To follow without asking any rational logical questions.
To hold proven tested science up to extreme scrutiny without holding your beliefs up to any.
To thank a magic being for the good things but not blame him for the bad.
to embrace and depend on the technology that comes from science while mocking science and saying that it doesn't work.

2- yes, we thank him for His blessings, and for the bad things, it is Him testing us.
You use such logical fallacies. We don't 'mock' science. We accept what it can prove- evolution doesn't fall under that category.
