@SunLightDefectCorp It's a pretty basic set up. I have a kenwood amp, a cheapy pep boys fuse block, the fuse block is hooked up to my battery, ran it inside down the drivers side (the panels are super easy to pop off and on in a jetta), then i ran the amp wire down the passenger side from the head unit (pioneer head unit now), the ground wire is all in the trunk, and then the speaker wire.. i dont know why an amp wouldn't be compatible with your car.
The way you have it wired to the amp, how much RMS wattage does it get? I dunno but depending on the model you're only pushing 200w RMS to a sub that takes twice that. I'm going to have to get one of these and run it @ 300w RMS because it looks like the strongest, highest quality single 12, especially for under $100.
I have 4 10 inch pioneer champion series dvc double stack magnets in a 99 sunfire with 4 gm series 800watt mono block amps and a 4 1.5 frad caps 4 8gauge wiring when got the gains all the up it fuckin smashes so hard mi rearview mirror just flops down it won't stay up mi windshield wipes arms dance crazy basssssssssssss makes ur chest hurt it hits soo hard I have 2 facing the back and 2 facing the front so the subs are like 12 inches away from the other box/subs
@blizzistom sounds pretty bad ass! you should video that work of art and throw it up on youtube! since this video was done i swapped out the sony xplod head unit for a pioneer... the sound is so much more clear. it's insane! ill have to throw up a new video soon!
@nickfs442 it's actually personal preference and however you like the sound. it doesn't effect the sub... and i prefer to have the sub facing into my car. Thanks for the tip tho.. oh and I'm not a bro.
@xterrifiedtearsx it's 100% personal preferance however bass notes take x amount of distance to develop hence why people usually bounce it off the trunk; travels more ;)
@gund3rt you are completely right.. and i had my sub both ways.. i just liked the sound better with the sub facing in... it sounds better to me. but ty :D
Yes I love my Pioneer <3 It's still going strong, I'm even thinking of adding a second and putting them in a dual ported box when I have the extra cash flow!
sounds really good.
