Original Mister Twister POV from Elitch Gardens

We used to get season passes there as kids. I got my first kiss there. That place is missed. When they built the new Elitchs I went there once and never went back again.

What great memories! I was on Mister Twister in the late 60s, at night, when there was a malfunction and the safety bars released while climbing the first hill. We were all screaming our heads off and the operator stopped us almost at the top. One guy even jumped from one car to another thinking it was just HIS safety bar that wouldn't stay down!! We were stuck for over an hour while a mechanic climbed up to fix the problem. Scared the living #$%$ out of me!!

Way cool, I worked at Elitch's in 81,82,83. I ran the coasters as well as other rides. Let me say: IT'S GOOD TO SEE AN OLD FRIEND! even if the quality isn't the best, you can almost hear the sounds of the rollbacks and track nails. There was a lot of film taken of the ride it would be good to see more! and maybe even some of The Wild Cat!!!!It's a shame what they did with the old Park. I sure MISS IT!
