@kiersten123321 1. Quite simply 1. Again, this varies depending what shot you're getting and who's doing it, but in this case I could barely feel a thing, just a very slight stinging sensation. And I really do mean *slight*.

Now, again, if you're having second thoughts, just google the side effects of tetanus, chicken pox/shingles, and meningitis. Guaranteed, they're going to be more than a 1. :P

And depending on who's giving the shot, you may or may not feel much. I kind of consider myself gifted to have had such a speedy and talented nurse. Couldn't feel a thing. >w>

I did a lot worse i got my Tdap, meningitis and hpv today. I was crying and arguing with the nurse for like 40 minutes. and i tried to escape like twice but they didnt let me out. and when they gave me the second shot, i fainted, so the doctor had to come in and he made a big deal out of it, like you 14 years old going on 15 and you fainted over a shot. like Yes sir i did i'm freaken terrified of shots.

@luv4manga lol im a medical assistant and yea you usually do most shots fast unless its supposed to be specifically done slow... a slow shot just makes it hurt a lot worse if youre slowly pushing it in and slowly injecting it, takes longer and allows you to have time to feel the pinch a lot more lol

@luv4manga no, aspirating is after the needle goes in you pull back on the plunger to see if you get blood.. if you do you are supposed to do it again, if no blood then you can continue with the injection. But not all people do this anyway.

@parleynator1 I guess that sort of depends on your own pain tolerance, but yeah, my arms were a bit sore in the area where the shot was. Nothing to worry about, though. Vaccines are a live form of the virus, and your immune system kicks in to get rid of it, releasing histamines that make your arm sore. (Possibly a little bit red, too.)
