Innovative - not embarrassing third raters, as people say - and having a dead guy in the band ( second from right ) surely that alone was revolutionary.
Brilliant track from one of the most interesting & most underrated New Wave bands of the early 80s.
'Science' and 'Neon Probe' did get some airtime on the Polish radio in 81-82 and I think I heard Berlin Blondes on Radio Luxembourg a couple of times. Needless to say, I was so impressed I still listen to them today!
Remember seeing these guys playing this in the Mars Bar, Glasgow. Magical. So good to to hear it again. Top posting. What was singers name? Joe Bonomi? Something like that. Loved his Peter Lorre vocals. Excellent track. Many thanks for giving us opportunity to har this again. Funny thing is I live in Berlin and my girlfriend is blonde and even though we're a generation younger we love this! More BB please!
Whoa!!!...for almost a year, i've been wanting to hear a song from the band, after reading info about them on an amazing website :D!...Thank You, Thank You for making my day :D :D!!!
still love this one!!! thanx! reminds me of teenage years, discovering new sounds. now I play it to younger dj's who come to my radioshow, play Rock'n'Rave n other now-stuff like that, and love this like it like me when i play it to them, 30 years on...... great! 06E
I was too young to get in!! Used to weep looking at the Bungalow Bar's gig guide in the Sunday Mail!
