  • No speed limits great....but having traffic coming the other way?....it only takes a misjudged corner and ur both dead.

  • I know the owner of this car and have been in it several times over the years, the car won the MLR sprint series with its previous owner twice. It is and Evo 5 RS (mechanical rear diff no electronics not even ABS) about 500bhp and the owner lives on the IOM. The police bike followed him as he thought it was not a local and was just checking for dangerous driving until he went into the 40 too quick and the owner was then banned.

    Full Info on MLR

  • doesnt matter no spead limits on the isle of man haha

  • 1) we're not talking about a track. 2) My "standard WRX (non-STi) has 315BHP 3) I never argued it was quicker than a subaru I argued it wasn't the fastest point to point car 4) I merely stated an opinion that the evo in the video wasn't a factory standard car. As for the AYC, it backs up my comment about needing electronics to make it quicker. Take AYC out of the equation and I think you'd have a different race. Engage brain before responding please

  • @Chubbz69UK If its a 315bhp its not standard. Playing too much forza maybe??

  • @mr2titsoff Oh another idiot! Standard as in non-STi. Can't you read either? As for Forza, There's old dyno runs in my vids. Another one that should engage brain before opening mouth....

  • Bring me there, give me the EVO and I guarantee 3 dead cops per day trying to stay with me on those windy roads.

  • nice passing. cop, either pull him over or fuck off.

  • @mikeusurper yeah lol he chased him for no reason

  • 1:25 for this who wish to skip the van intro!

  • you have got to have balls to drive a bike like this....

  • I wonder if the evo driver knew he was being chased my a unmarked police bike? he most certainly was driving like he was running or fleeing, but at the start of the chase he flew by the cop at which point started the whole chase, so what happened to the evo driver? it did not look like the cop pulled him over at the end. Either way that evo was flying!! i want one.

  • That was one hell of an evo, pulling away from the bike on the overtakes

  • @mekadodo A 300bhp EVO 5-6 will sit on the arse of a 600cc superbike all the way up to 130+mph.

  • @MunroM84

    No, not even close.

  • @MunroM84 The fuck are you smoking?

  • Doesn't look like a cop bike's evidential video to me, it looks more like some camcorder titles that have been put on to camera footage. That video showing the speedo certainly wouldn't satisfy a Magistrate for a speeding conviction. Also, for that speed the 'Constable' would have pulled him to Summons the driver to court, or at least some words of advice... Just my opinion... :o)

  • Thats one fast evo.

  • @santclause1 Mitsubishi Evo are the quickest point to point cars in the world, nothing will keep up on roads like this.

  • @MunroM84 never heard of caterhams or radicals or a whole multitude of other cars

  • @markandrach Yeah like you can drive them cars fast in any weather condition on any road...

  • @MunroM84 just because an Evo has the capability to do it, doesnt mean the driver is skilled enough to do it.

  • @MunroM84. er i,m afraid so. megane 270 trophy. focus RS. would scare the fuck out of a 300bhp evo over these roads. but i don,t think this evo is stock with the way it goes.

  • @MunroM84 STI bitch

  • @MunroM84 I thought it was me on drugs! Shit, the Evo has enough electronics to make it quick but it's not the quickest point to point car. And that's definitely not factory standard, otherwise my tuned wrx non-sti would beat it.

As for the cop, he was obviously just out for a sunday afternoon jolly at the taxpayers expense. The evo driver was driving correctly and gave no cause for concern in my opinion....

  • @Chubbz69UK Are you on drugs??? Any Evo 5,6,7,8,9 will destroy pretty much any Subaru around a track unless its a Spec-C. Evo have over 300bhp standard STI and WRX do not. AYC in Evo rapes shitty diffs in Subaru.

  • @MunroM84 I have never seen ANY Evo make over 300bhp stock, and even the X MR barely makes 290bhp

  • @rotor13 Well you obviously don't have a clue.

  • @MunroM84 No I do, because I've owned a few Evo's in my earlier years and was a fanboy for sometime before that as well. the only Evo's that make 300bhp or more are the Europe only FQ series.

My stock Evo 8 made 235hp to the wheels which translates to a 17% drivetrain loss from the factory rated 271hp which gives the engine about 270ish hp give or take a few hp. My Evo 9 MR made 250ish hp to the wheels which gives the motor the 280hp it was rated at....

  • @rotor13 Add some E85 ;)

  • @Xolition with E85 you LOSE power. Just because its a higher octane fuel doesnt mean shit when it burns cooler, but also burns faster.

E85 is only beneficial for cars that run high compression/high boost or a combination of both.

Putting E85 in a stock car that isnt desiged as a flex fuel car is simply losing power and money

  • @rotor13 Wrong, EVO's produce 300bhp standard and have done since at least EVO5 which is from 1998, Your 271bhp EVO was probably the shitty GTA with an autobox. The only limited edition FQ model is the EVO8+10 FQ400. You also go on about EVO1 making 220bhp...Do you know how old that is???

  • @MunroM84 Wrong.... there are FQ300, 400 and 500 models produced.

I never said anything about the Evo1 making 220hp but you're right they do make around that much because they were rated at 240hp to the crank.... figure in drivetrain loss and you have LESS than 220hp to all 4 wheels. There was no Automatic Evo8 or 9 sold in the US and its territories. They were all 5 and 6 speeds.

  • @rotor13 There wasn't any FQ500 models produced. FQ400 was the highest power in standard form that was available.

  • @24macca Great, thanks, I was trying to make a point with that idiot and you ruined it. I know an FQ500 doesnt exist unless you mod an FQ for 500hp.

  • @rotor13 Ah ok, sorry mate.

  • @24macca No you're fine. No harm done

  • @rotor13 FQ500? Stop talking shit. In America you don't even get real Evos...I did some research and found out you get the weakest engines and no AYC...I'm honestly not suprised Americans think Imprezas are the better car...

  • @MunroM84 Really? Weakest engines? tell me, whats the engine code in the Evos all the way to the 9? what about the 10?

There have only EVER been two engines in Evos. List them. They ALL had the same power. And each country had its own special editions. Yes, including North America.

Im sorry, but YOU have no idea what you're talking about. You must not have been reading very well because if you did, you would know that I was kidding about the FQ500.

  • @rotor13 American Evos are gimped compared to JDM and UK models US models are less powerdful due to strict emission regulations LOL, go look at specs...Evos use 4g engine except EvoX which is a piece of shit.

  • @MunroM84 No they're not dumbass. You're right, every Evo until 9 has the 4G63 engine. If the 4B11 was such a shit engine, tell me why there are so many 500+hp EvoX's?

Or explain to me how the US model Evos ALL make the same power as their Euro and Jap counterparts?

    YOU'RE the idiot here.

I dont need to look up specs when I owned several different Evos. I guess you missed reading that part as well.

  • @rotor13 Evo X has a shit engine because the turbo is above the exhaust manifold. US spec EVOs make less power than JDM and much less than most UK spec models, a simple google search would have shown you this. An American can flash the ECU to make the same power as JDM/UK spec because US version are gimped when standard due to your fucking stupid emission laws which allow 7.0 V8 to roll around without a problem while producing much worse emissions LOL.

  • @MunroM84 Really? the 4B11 is bad because the turbo is mounted differently? You do realize thats the most stupidest excuse i've ever heard. If you were to say the engine was an open deck design I would agree with you, but because there are many 4B11's making 600+hp on a stock block im going to have to disagree.

You do know that going with a bigger turbo on ANY engine is going to change the mounting of it right? Of course you didnt, you dont know shit.

  • @rotor13 You talk shit, your the one who looks stupid bragging about all the evos you have had. EvoX engine is a flawed design that is a fact the turbo is over the exhaust manifold at the back of the engine next to the firewall and if you had to make a better engine block to handle more power it wouldn't be a 4b11 anymore. "gimped"??? US evos are gimped, no AYC=FAIL. Also no one cares about the most powerful modified cars except people who drive in a straight line.

  • @MunroM84 The more you post, the more ignorant you are..... US spec Evos came with AYC as well dumbass.

The most powerful modified cars dont only go in a straight line. They take left and right turns too, but I guess thats far beyond your level of ignorance.

Here, this turbo is mounted completely the wrong way... but its one of the fastest Evos /watch?v=eBPu25SsSas

And how about this EvoX? /watch?v=jAs3jFdXFzE

    Turbo is mounted differently.

  • @MunroM84 Fact of the matter is, you're mad that I know more about Evo's than you, and i've backed it up with proof.

Your opinion is complete garbage for the sole fact that you're trying to pass it off as fact.

Here's another one for you to cry about.... and the turbo is still mounted like stock.

    /watch?v=KdJQR4QW-8s&feature=endscreen&NR=1

Maybe you should give me your address so I can take a hammer to your skull. That might actually make you SMART.

  • @MunroM84 Of course, because you think you think everything from the US is "gimped". Ok, so tell me this..... In what countries are the most powerful modified cars coming from? US, Japan, and Australia.

I guess you didnt read my comments thoroughly because with today's technology, emissions systems have little to do with affecting power. This isnt the 70's and 80s anymore dumbass

  • @MunroM84 If you bothered to do ANY sort of research on emissions laws in the US and other countries, you would know that buying a large engine comes with a GAS GUZZLER TAX and STILL needs to comply with emissions standards.

  • @MunroM84

Yes, the US has the most powerful production V8 engine, still passes strict emissions laws, and gets the same fuel mileage as a 4cylinder.

You're an idiot through and through. Go back to school and learn a few things. Its obvious that you have no clue what you're talking about, and all you're doing is making yourself look completely stupid to the thousands of people who read the comments. How does it feel to have so many people laugh at how stupid you are?

  • @MunroM84 New emission regulations are much better than they were before. If you pay attention, ALL Evo's have emissions equipment. So you can say all Evos were gimped from the start. When I had my Evo 1, 3, and 5, they all had emissions equipment in place. I dont think you ever touched one.

And tell me, how is it that a bloke in Australia can tune a stock Evo8 with an ECU flash to 320hp, and the same American Evo8 can get the same tune and the same power?

  • @MunroM84 You're the worst fanboy i've ever come across to date. You claim to know all this crap about Evo's. And yet an American who has traveled the world and owned several Evo's is schooling you.

Thats called IGNORANCE. Take your blind fold off, admit you're full of shit and stop posting. Cause I can go at it all day with you about Evos.

  • @MunroM84 You must not know about the US market. Because thats where I live. And I know more about Evo's than you it seems. I've owned an Evo 1, 3 and 5 as well during my time outside the US and they were all bone stock (holds value a lot better that way) and not one of them made anywhere close 250hp to the wheels. No they weren't neglected either. They were low mileage, mint condition cars that I paid between $15-20k USD for which is a high amount considering where I was at.

  • @MunroM84 And I was able to sell them for a significant profit when I moved. The Evo 1 in particular now lies in some rich guys collection in Australia, the 3 was sold to a guy in Puerto Rico, and the 5 now belongs to a rally team in Colombia which is now a pile of junk after jumping off a 500ft cliff

  • @MunroM84 Evo's 5 and 6 weren't 300bhp as standard (roughly 280bhp)

  • @24macca Your wrong Evo4 and above are much closer to 300+hp. The 280bhp you speak off was actually an agreement Japanses manufacturers agreed to in the early 90's to try and improve road safety, no manufacturer actually held to this agreement.

  • @MunroM84 Well, we can agree to disagree. But I know that a car club (same as the owner of the car in the vid) were quoting roughly 280-285 on standard evo 6's highest power mentioned from standard was 291 (about 10years ago).

I know about the agreement and that it wasn't held to with manufacturers :)

  • @MunroM84 ......cont'd..... and the Evo X GSR I recently had a few years ago made 250hp as well before I modded it to 400hp. given the drivetrain loss, it still meant the motor made less than 300hp to the crank, which is spot on with the factory rating.

the Earlier Evos that werent sold in the US, the 1-7 were rated 270bhp but actually made less than 250hp to the wheels thanks to dynos that werent very accurate.

  • @MunroM84 cont'd..... I saw a recent dyno sheet of a bone stock Evo 1 on a brand new Mustang dyno read 220hp and it only had 50k kilometers on it at a dyno day.

The FQ series was the only factory Evo to make over 300hp and were limited edition cars in the first place.

  • @MunroM84 No they're not. ANY car can be made to be the quickest.... I seem to remember a particular Evo being beat by an RX-7 at Tsukuba by about a second

  • nothing against anybody , but why keep driving on left side???

+ WHAT KIND OF HYWAY DONT HAVE 4 LINE? 2NORTH 2 SOUTH?

  • good work and a good bit of riding from the cop

why do people think owning a faast car makes them the stig

everyone i have ever know who races cars or bikes on tracks never does anything silly on the roads, they dont need to.they also have amazing skill which ALL boy racers dont have

  • @markandrach not everone lives nearby to a racetrack... and its a street car. Not a race car. Its meant to be driven at its capabilities. Question is. if Cops dont want highspeed performance cars, then why even legalize it to be road legal in the first place? Why not cap a speed limit or speed governor on every production sports car out there? Yeah that sounds idiotic doesnt it?

  • @cagednm69 thats a good point mate.... just use your brainiacs to devise something that cuts EVERY cars capabilities once they hit the governed speed zone in that area.... its just a piece of tech in a piece of tech shit world..... surely they could rig it up somehow.. then no one can speed.... removes the grey area and preserves the cancer of this earth perfectly.... (or strengthens the strain should i say)

  • @cagednm69 the police dont have any power of dictating what cars can do.

driving like an idiot is ok if its only yourself you will kill.its NOT acceptable when other people are at risk

im a professional driver so i know this, you obviously are not.

  • @markandrach

    It was a rhetorical question.

It thought "PROfessional drivers" were smarter than that?.

And what does you being pro or not pro have to do with this again? Most people get killed on the track lately. So you call them all "idiots"?

  • @cagednm69 check the stats for track death v's deaths on the road

    then come back

there is no argument here,no one has the right to go driving like a cunt on public roads where people do have to right to mind get on with their daily life without the risk of being killed

  • @markandrach

    okay so tell me.

what is the point of buying ferraris then? To just pack them up in a truck and ride around a track?

Again i wasnt saying "ppl die more on the track than on public roads" i said "There are deaths on tracks aswell" so are all those professional riders idiots to be speeding on the race track? Arent the fellow professional riders humans too? Dont they have the right to live too?

  • @markandrach No, but the police dictate what DRIVERS do with their cars on public roadways. They enforce safety. And someone driving like an idiot on a public road is a matter of safety. Whether or not there is a speed limit, there are still safety rules in place.

And pleas dont bring in "Professional" drivers. Thats a complete insult to ANYONE in motorsport

  • Evo 6, YEAH !!

  • Bloody sneaky police. Stalk a car till it breaks the speed limit.

  • The cop actually rides pretty well.

  • This is what police do, it's the same over here. They'll sit 2" off your rear bumper in an unmarked car and see if they can bust you.

  • that wasn't a cop. that was someone pretending to be one so he doesn't get into trouble.

  • fast fuckin evo

  • evo would have shitted on him if he decided to run

  • @wb19921122 another looney who thinks a car can outrun a bike.

  • @masterknaster they can....... a bike has faster acceleration but not top speed...

  • @David20931 PLease do tell me which car (no supercars) goes 200mph... And then think about where you are going to use top speed at the Isle of man...oO

  • @masterknaster Why no super cars?

  • @David20931

Agree mate ...and the evo will corner faster too

  • @TheRaceface22 yeah.

  • @masterknaster What video were you watching then? He was doing a pretty good job from where i was sitting. Only reason he caught up was because the evo was slowed by traffic in front.

  • @formidable38 The copper wasn't accelerating at the bikes full potential most of the time and when he does he catches up to him pretty quickly, even with no traffic around.

  • holy shit that evo's quick

  • Entrapment?

  • The end is that the bike rides past the car... Not a police officer :-(

  • @incontrast76 it was a cop, the guy in the evo posted the original video he got from the court on the mitsubishi lancer register forum, i think he got a 6 month ban.

  • sick guy (:

  • and they say clarkson has the best job in the world...

  • the cop knows his way around the 32nd milestone all ok hahahah

  • beautiful holdback by the police bike until the road markings permitted overtake - skill.

  • Who needs a radio with an engine sound like that ?

  • i think this guy wasn't a cop at all, the ending says everything

  • Headphone users beware

  • nice one

    happy days

  • cop bikers are dumb arses ...or is that numb arses.

  • Comment removed

  • To be fair I've driven that stretch at helluva pace and let me tell you, If you dont know that 40 sign is there you can be doing WELL over the limit when you pass it.

Speed goes from unlimited to 40 in a pretty short distance, and if you were to slam on the brakes to match you'd probably cause an accident.

I'd say what he did was safer than slamming on the brakes.

  • Isle of Man, no speed limit? I just felt my dick twitch. Roll on pay day!!!

  • @propanobend

Isle of Man has no national speed limit. Where there are specific 30 and 40 limits they are strictly enforced, especially round TT time. And you can still be nicked for dangerous driving. So, if you go there enjoy the freedom, but be sensible.

  • @sparkygl0s Yes, I wouldn't want to be the one to blame for them imposing a limit now would I? :) It was for a laugh mate, I'm a safe driver, don't worry.

  • @racer17551 hell yeah! did you see him keep the distance all the way throught out the straights!

  • Just another biker cop looking for a street race

  • that bike is seriously underpowered, sounds like a terrible v twin.i'd be ashamed of myself,my 9 was and looked about twice as fast as that....sounded faster aswell.

  • A--WE--SOME They were going like 134 MPH!!!!!

  • another stupid ricer!!!!!!!!!

  • @australianmade74 stock evo's look like that

  • the cop was holding off for either a white line infringement or speeding in a restricted area , he got his man in the end wasnt about a race , guy martin would of whipped him ;)

  • as i see it both rider and driver looked under control and there wasn't any near misses the cop probably jealous his bike had trouble keeping up lol but still a good vid cheers to both

  • I saw nothing wrong with that, both driver and rider seemed to be switched on. I drive an Evo and I make the most of it, just wish there were no speed limits on the mainland

  • If youre a cop on a bike why did you not stop the guy? I can't understand why he was even chased? For the fun of it? Lucky no one got cleaned up...

  • @ShedTV

He chased this guy to capture video evidence. He didn't force this Evo driver to speed, he did so of his own volition. He kept a reasonable distance and passed the car when the Evo yielded.

  • it's an Evo 6 BTW

  • i still don't understand what this is about lol? police man off duty toying with an evo? or what

  • @jlcool007 It's in the description and video, He was still doing around 100 when he entered a 40 zone. The whole 7 mins before that is nothing too exciting either. good vid though.

  • nice riding sir

  • isle of man tt yea?

  • Isn't this why you live on the Isle of Man in the first place, i always thought they had no speed limits out of town?

  • Why didn't the police bike stop that Evo 6?Its such a waste of gas. After a few miles the bike just tail from the back with its cam?I wonder what bike is the police using there?Anyway its awesome!

  • this cop is a good driver :)

  • I don't get it: Is this the POV from the person running away or is this the POV of the police driver and the person running is the white van ahead?

  • @Luciferminusone you didn't watch the whole video. a mitsubishi evo 5 overtook the police officer and the van at a high speed and he pursued him.

  • bit harsh, dude was slowing down, bet the officer just wanted something to do!

    * damn that bike drones on :( listening in headphones...

  • Is this the most fun country ever?

  • A shame for the evo driver as he was driving very responsibly and stayed within the law even with all his passing and fast driving, he was just a little slow off the gas entering the slow zone. hardly worth busting him for.

  • @therealdrbyte Little slow? 100 in a 40 is far more than a little slow and isn't all that responsible.

  • @therealdrbyte There is no speed limit on the Isle of Man.

  • @idiotzrule Only on mountain sections. Most of it around the residential areas have speed limits so you don't run someone over at 200 mph

  • lol this is fake... just a random wank on his bike with a video camera, thats not even all that good quality, with what appears to be simple "windows movie maker text/template" added over the original video afterwards.......... boring.

  • @V6POWA Sorry not fake my friend. I've seen it on multiple forums and have seen the credits on the ISC

  • @TrackStar828

Multiple forums is irrelevant.... this is clearly fake. Show me the credits on the ISC?

  • @V6POWA It originated from a public court hearing, then posted onto the Isle of Man Constabulary. If you want to see it's credits just google Isle of Man Const. and find the video. I won't go through the trouble of doing this for you. Its real, unlike your girlfriends tits.

  • Why not credit to the police? He has a derestricted road and he chooses to speed on the restricted section. Ban him.

  • The real fucking TT haha!

  • He drove past and didnt pull the geezer? or do they just go with the video evidence and number plate?

  • evo is quick so is every car that's like when i had a x-runner that did over 90mph in 3rd gear! 6 speed'' mitsubishi sucks over priced you can get a x-runner with a twin turbo and still not come close to the price of an evo and smoke it thru my tail pipe that's why you don't see to many of them in California who would pay over $43.000 for sh--it! and have a xrunner that will still be worth! with110.000 miles on it 90% that is over $18.000 4yrs and comes with 236hp, price tag of $24.000

  • why the attention from the police?, if theres no speed limit why the grief from plod?

evo driver wasnt being careless or dangerous, he was just giving it a toot on the straights with clean quick overtakes... so how is that dangerous?

looks like plod have fuck all better to do with their time but harass motorists with nice cars and bikes.

  • isle of man may not have speed limits, but you can still get charged for dangerous driving

  • If this really was video from an unmarked bike the pig should be prosecuted for facilitating dangerous driving. HOW MANY opportunities did he need to pull this car over????

  • The police had no reason at all to pull him over, which is why they didn't, he wasn't speeding because there is no speed limit in the Isle of Man :)

  • @SwazSXI I guess there is in places - the description says that he was nabbed doing 100 at the entrance to a 40 zone.

  • Is it the isle of man where there is no speed limits?

  • and they say isle of man police riders are fast, not this guy

  • VFR 800 ?

  • @alleywatson More like a Duc or another V-twin to me mate. Either way it sounded nothing like any filth I've heard.

  • @Hornet0biker police use Ducatis ? thought it was just Blackbirds, FJR's , Busa's, VFR's and Pan's

  • @alleywatson That was my point mate.

  • Comment removed

  • @Hornet0biker Why? U scared?

  • what bike was it cos that evo is bloody quick !!

  • @acnespider so why then did the police not pull him over at all and why did the bike carry on once the evo turned the right?

  • @teamdkuk thats what i thought

  • Why he stoped chasing him loL?

  • set out of 2010-06-29 and then the time, isle of man constabulary all looks a bit dodgey to me, since when have police cameras been set up like that? police film there speedo? thought the cam showed that, plus the mic of the camera should be linked to the riders hedset, and we would hear the rider telling the info of the so called "chase" to his control room? this whole video just doesnt look right to me.. but heyy! thats what i think, we have opinions right?

  • @clickhear08 I agree - doesn't seem legit tbh

  • also this is fake, no such thing as an unmarked police bike and he was right behind the guy why weren't the lights and sirens put on?

  • @teamdkuk There is a thing called an unmarked police bike, same as the unmarked police car.

  • why was he being chased? there is no speed limits, so he wasn't breaking the law

  • why didnt the bike driver but his blues and twos on as soon as he went over 100ish? or 80/90 ish? he let him continue... and he went up to the same speeds as the evo driver...? 140mph?? that was more dangerous the bike doing that speed...

  • skip foward to 6:10

  • u lie

  • JESUS christ that EVO is quick.

  • dsfdsfdfsd

  • surely the bloke bike should be penalized too for doing whatever speed on that road, after all he didn't have sirens on? so how was the Evo driver supposed to know? thats crooked in my opinion.. would of loved to be that Evo driver though, looks so fucking fun.. until he got the ticket

  • @iPlutonicsz Theres no speed limits on the isle of man except in the towns and on dodgy corners...
