  • Amazing pictures. Don't know why I am so fascinated by this particular snake, morbid fascination perhaps because it is so very fast, toxic and aggressive. There is no way these pictures were taken as the post says nor is that venom on the snakes mouth, that is water it has been drinking. Mamba venom is very dark yellow and much thicker than water. Besides, snakes don't waste their lifeline to catching prey. Lovely pictures nonetheless.

  • 0:22 You can see a part of the mamba's tiny hood. The black mamba is a member of the cobra family.

  • oh gosh....how i hate snakes...and the song is soo creeping me out!

  • @ nyelement007 Soz, my bad!

  • pinche musiquita de misterio, no mamen!

  • why do they call it black it aint black

  • that song just freaks me out!!!

  • "The snake smelled like curry"

Lol. Sometimes I go around smelling snakes

  • @fearingpredators Indeed! They're actually more nervous than aggressive and will try and retreat or flee when confronted. The problem with them is their nervousness causes them to feel threatened very quickly and that's when people experience their "aggressiveness". But yeah!! They are like most animals, who will flee when confronted. Example: most people experienced with the African bush knows that when a lion charges, you stand your ground and most of the time they will back off.

  • Yea, that's deff a black mamba. Um, I would never keep a snake like that. Very aggressive, obviously potently neurotoxic and those things can grow over 3 meters long. Anyway if that's the kinda thing you fancy good for you. Just remember to have someone by your house all the time, (You know like a scuba diving buddy) just in case one of you get bitten one of you can take the other to the nearest hospital. (anti venom is good, but you need medical attention) If you both get bitten, cheers.

  • @KabutoFrank

They become aggressive only when provoked. This snake always seek to retreat from confrontation if possible.Yes,they are highly dangerous but also misunderstood.

  • @KabutoFrank

why did you spam the same comment like 50 times?

  • Did you know that every type of mamba is part of the Cobra family, and that most people think that the Black mamba gets its name from its black interior skin, well thats not true cause Black mambas can have gray skin too, its really the black interior mouth.

  • that niggas tung is black...:O

  • lmao @ ''kids do not do this at home'' yah like as if they sell black mambas at walmart

  • Your friend is an idiot to keep a snake like that!

Its an accident waiting to happen!

  • FAKE

  • @Laureninbenton explain pig....

  • hahaha this is green mamba. U stupid liar IT IS NOT ALLOWED TO HAVE POISONOUSNESS SNAKE IN SCANDINAVIA. IM FROM NORWAY MYSELF

  • @Caanos88 It is absolutely a black mamba. They range from black to tan.

  • i thought there wasnt black mamba anti venom..?

  • :P

  • this is not a black mamba ,it is a green mamba.and that is not venom his mouth is watering .

  • @drdukeful That is a Black Mamba...........

  • @MintyModF1 get the joke ......i also said his mouth is watering...lol

  • Magnificent snake. These are one of natures finest and most efficient killers.

  • awesome snake.

  • "The mamba smelled like curry." LOL

  • If there is such a thing as re-incarnation when I die I wanna come back as a Black Mamba

  • I was six, my mSawhili friend 7. We'd been playing in the rusty old ruined car, with a small tree growing through the boot, for an hour. It was Lutoli's turn to drive, & I sat in the passenger seat. I saw a black button on the rusty glovebox-cover, and pressed it. It fell open metallically. The black mamba was wide awake.....! Really true, & I wrote about it in my book, "Speak Swahili, Dammit!" See the short video on youtube.

  • I know herpetologist that will not be in the same room with these monsters.

  • Your friend is so lucky. This is such a beautiful snake.

  • cute face

  • You can tell by looking at the background perspective that the photographer really isn't "extremely close." He's using a moderately long lens and is probably at a 'reasonably safe' distance (if there is such a thing!)

  • BEAUTIFUL!!

  • I held one didn't bite

  • So, the drop of venom; was it excited or agitated? Were you shaking in your boots? Did you realize how much danger you were in at the moment? Were you pi***ng in your pants? I would be!!

I love snakes, but only constrictors, NOT venomous, and certainly not one of the most venomous in the world! You can't hold and pet those... I've had a boa, and I LOVE them! Will have another in the next year or so... once hubby lets me.. darn it....

Oh.. totally creepy and effective soundtrack!!... Curry??

  • the song is trippy.

  • hats off to you if i was in 10 feet of that thing i'd jump through the nearest window regardless of number of floor on.

  • I wouldn't be able to sleep knowing i have a venomous snake in my house, even if it was in a container. What if you went to feed your snake one day and it wasn't in it's cage, it would be a long night..

  • hei what is the song name???

  • great pics : )

  • Watch viperkeeper here on youtube. He keeps mambas and many other venomous species of snakes and uploads weekly videos of his adventures with them. Very cool and also educational and funny.

  • i wanna buy this one to my mother-in-law breed as a pet!

  • I'd love one as a pet

  • cool

  • I lived in south africa for many years and have had a close encounter with a mamba by unlucky chance, they are neurotic and very aggressive when feeling threatened it is a beautiful thing but like all beautiful things is utterly deadly,my friend at durban zoo is in agreement with me,eventually you will see your friend bitten and the anti venin is only 50% effective as half the population is allergic to it! Because one day he will get careless,82\% of professional milkers get bitten.dissaude him!

  • Such a cute little guy...so deadly.

  • Yes, and, let's not forget that very informative scene from Kill Bill Vol 2.

What an attack scene, a black mamba jumps right out the suitcase and aggressively attacks his face. That was brutal.

  • In actual fact a black mamba bite can potentially kill a human within 30 minutes depending on the health, size, age, and psychological state of the human, but death usually occurs among 35-60 minutes. A bite will either kill you if not paralyze you for life.

    Great pics!

  • Consider yourself lucky if you only end up paralyzed, if you get bitten by one you`re pretty much dead.

  • You re either very brave or very stupid. Nice pics though

  • @ZS6JMP the black mamba appears to be "smiling" before sinking its venomous fangs

  • How the hell was he allowed to get a permit to keep this? Its simply too dangerous in my opinion

  • more dangerous than a shark

  • When they get 12 foot long and they stand opposite your head and bite in your head or breast you can forget your anti venom.

so you must be careful :D

    dont get bit !

  • they are such beautiful snakes, but yeah, they ridiculously dangerous.

  • i got bite me one of those scary

  • no you did not you dumb asshole, you would last about 10 mins if it bit you, you fucking retard

  • That is one of the most poisenus snakes in the world...You wouldnt be here if you did..

  • its not 100% if your bitten you die

  • @gorockgo123 unless you have a doctor right by you its not. Dude your really challenging a college harvard student?

  • @CallingOfTheTiger you just sorta completely failed eh ..?

you just proved my point of it not beeing 100% you die

  • @gorockgo123 How did i? I said that it wasnt 100% you die dumbass. Its not 100 percent.

  • better be fast with anti-venom that snake can cause parylization for permenant and can kill in 15minutes - 3 hours after a bite. and well iots venom ios diffrent than others because it actually cause parylization and then death so be careful

ps. no other snake can cause parylazation for life

  • lol what the hells up with the music??? cool snake man, your lucky to have a friend that has this snake:)

  • The music was phenomenol, nice dissonant sophisticated suspense. shades of Al Hitchkocks Psyhco.

  • Are you taking these pictures through glass?

I am extremely curious about how hes keeping such a snake.

Did he take some training in handling snakes, What kind of container is the snake kept in, Whats being fed, Has he kept other snakes in the past or right now?

    Please throw in some details!

  • These pictures are not taken through glass.

Thei person who has the mamba has own many snakes for many years. In case the mamba will bite, he has antivenom at home.

The mamba is in a very very big container.

    The snake eats live mice.

  • He must have a whole collection of antivenom.

  • @sadgreen the snake s through glass im seeing that 2

  • I'm amazed that you can actually own one of those things.

Mambas are commonly thought to be the world's deadliest snakes. I'd think owning one would be the reptilian version of playing Russian Roulette.

  • I do not think mambas dry bite and they are very aggresive.

  • The real tragedy would be if it got loose after it bit the owner.

Other people or the snake itself could be killed.

If the owner wants to live with the H-bomb of snakes, then his or her death is their own fault.

  • sheer beauty.

  • Man, there are easier and more comfortable ways for your friend to commit a suicide rather than keep this monster at home. This creature just waits for his single mistake to make its move. I hope that your friend has plenty of antivenom at home and a very safe place to keep this extremely deadly snake.

  • it is not a monster. its a snake.....it cant help that it is deadly.

  • so true, i would never keep a venomous snake in my home, let alone something as dangerous as a mamba

  • your all forgeting somthing ... they may have taken its vangs out you never see a picture with its mouth open

  • i am unaware of this practice. I think its rather stupid though, why not just get a non venomous snake?

  • mambas get their fangs back just like hair grows..

  • I dont think that you would ever want to agitate it to the point where it starts gaping. Thats asking for a lot of trouble.

  • Thats for sure, mouth open means someones in trouble

  • Big fat hairy deal - check out Viperkeeper's channel

  • a truely evil lookin but buitifull creature

  • yes i love the photos too and the music as well !

What is the music you used?

  • thats crazy id never do that with an elapid

  • Oh My Godness!!!!!.

    This is scary stuff

  • Cool pictures and creepy music.
