idk something in the book of revalations says something about being "dreadful" so they named the "dread locks" but you don't need dreads to be rasta

The holy book , when talking about Samson the Nazarite, says he wore seven locks upon his head. This is where the dreadlock tradition gets its basis. After taking the Nazarite oath the men were not allowed to cut their hair or shave their face (hence dreads and beards). Not every dread is rastafari, not every rasta wear dreads.
